1) What on earth is strategy? First of all, let me determine what a strategy is. Strategy refers to a plan of action designed to achieve a particular goal. So, the primary purpose of behaving strategically is to be as effective as possible, here I mean having the best and intended results. In my opinion, a strategy is a very important part of our life, because every day we are involved in different situations and almost all of them are about which strategy we have to choose. For example, let’s look at student life strategies. Among them there are a lot of ways a student probably choose: an achievement of success in study, an achievement of independence from parents, and an achievement to be employed after his graduation, etc. And of course, each of these actions implies a set of actions HOW/WHAT to do, WHICH plan/way to choose, etc. 2) What are competitive dimensions? I think competitive dimensions of goods or services can be defined as important attributes of the goods or services based on certain principles. And anyway they are designed to meet the different needs of customers. And there is a long list of these dimensions, let me list them. There are a COST OR PRICE, QUALITY, DELIVERY SPEED/RELIABILITY, CHANGES IN DEMAND, FLEXIBILITY, and etc. In my opinion, it’s quite difficult and impossible to produce goods or services which will be include all of these dimensions at the same time. 3) What is a competitive priority? Competitive priority is some particular quality providing a company with compatibility, giving superiority over competitors. In other words, we can define it as “the degree of emphasis” an organization places on its objectives to secure and sustain its competitive advantage. 4) What do "trade-offs" really mean?
