As new developments occur, human growth hormones can be used to treat other symptoms such as Turner's syndrome. Turner's syndrome is a “genetic defect that is linked to short stature” (Bondy CA). The only downside about human growth hormones injections are the long-term effects of “Thickens skin, internal organs bones and facial features. On an extreme case of overuse can lead to diabetes, heart disease, and shortened life span” (Worsnop, R. L.). Some of the effects of HGH are most noticeable on cartilage and bone cells. If your body continues to produce growth hormone after cartilaginous plates have been fused, other bones respond such as the jaw, forehead, toes, and fingers. Human Growth Hormone may be considered a miracle by some or a disaster by others. The thought of humans having a life expectancy twice the amount it is now is amazing. But on the other hand, the side effects this hormone may cause due to regular injections may be very
