Stereotypes Against School Uniforms

My fiances brother, his wife and their three children moved to Ohio over a year ago. My niece just started middle school this year, and was very excited. My soon to be sister-in-law (her mother) and I are very close, and we talk all of the time. In one of our recent conversations, she was telling me about an issue that they were having with the middle school. She informed me that this particular school enforces uniforms, which to me sounded fine. I have nothing against uniforms in any way, shape or form. It's a concept that I believe is completely wrong, but it's the only reason I could think of on why they would do this. I really don't believe that I could ever grow to like this concept at all. I just don't understand why they would bring uniforms in because children got picked on about their clothing before, and then turn around and use them this way. Uniforms are supposed to make everyone feel equal and welcome. They should NOT be used in this type of manner. I really don't believe that there is a
