It is important to keep a balance of the important things in one’s life otherwise, weaknesses can be developed that shadows over a person’s natural strength to prioritize. A balance of the important things in one’s life is what allows personal success to be achieved. Successfulness is the ability to seize new opportunities and explore new paths in life. Balance is the key to success because when there is balance in one’s life there is a cut back of stress, which makes room for the ability to thrive; and a person’s ability to thrive is what carries them to their personal success. To be successful is to understand what is important to you, to recognize your weaknesses without hiding behind them, to strive for balance as well as open new doors in life.
The snide comments from his fellow team mates still don’t bring his spirit down. Gerardo is ready to compete and believe in himself even if it means standing alone without his team or coaches support. He knows if he has confidence in himself that soon enough others will too. Without struggle there is no progress, if you imagine and believe you will achieve. Only Gerardo knows him limitations and can define them himself, he doesn’t need someone to hold his hand to conquer the world.
It helps me figure out what I need to do to become a better player, but also a better person. It tests my ability to work hard through adversity, take constructive criticism, and challenge myself to push harder and to strive for greatness. I take tremendous pride in my work ethic, and it shows when I’m on the field. I stay focused from start to finish, learn from my mistakes quickly, and I accept my responsibilities that are handed down to me from coaches and my team. Pat Riley once said, “Excellence is the gradual result of always striving to do better.” This is how I treat everyday.
Robert Madril Thompson/7 Life skills 22 Feb. 2010 My Core Beliefs Although in present day there are many many bad things that happen in every day life. From drug use to stealing and even murdering, i think its still very important to have core beliefs. A core belief to me is a way of living that will never change no matter what the circumstance. One core belief that i have is to always try your hardest. I think this is the most important character you can have because it will push you through life and help you become a more reliable and better person.
We teach commitment by first showing them what we as coaches are willing to do. This would include things during the season as well as during the offseason activities. We try to make them understand that making a commitment is essential to success in life. I also try to gauge each athlete’s commitment level by asking them questions about what sacrifices they are willing to make to reach their goals. Offering them off-season activities to improve their skills also shows them that to succeed it is important to work a little harder than
“I dint know I’m still alive. I can only guess. I have tough constitution, on my profession taught me how to compete against long odds an big obstacles. I like to train hard and I like to race hard that helped, it was a good start, but it certainly wasn’t the determining factor. I can’t help feeling that my survival was more a matter of blind luck.” Based on Armstrong’s quote you can tell he ha a tremendous amount of mental strength and the mental strength and the mental strength was what helped him overcome his
No matter what mistakes or bad choices you have made, you can dust yourself off and try again. The most motivational piece to me “I know I can, be what I wanna be, if I work hard at I be where I wanna be.” this motivates me because it teaches me that in order to get where I want to get I have to work hard for it. You have to work hard and struggle to be the best and have the best. Many people put their obstacles and past experiences in the way of being successful and use that as an excuse. When you are striving to be the best you have to keep in mind that “its not going to be easy but at the end its worth it.” This song has taught me to keep my head up no matter what my obstacles and tribulations are and to keep
#1-Well the best answer would be that it takes a person that is more than dedicated, a person willing to surpass any obstacle, a person that wants it so bad that it becomes there life. If you think about it they are pro’s at what they do and we pay for it, watch it, and love what they do. Being a professional athlete would take everything that you have and most that try don’t even come close. In reality the time, effort, stress put on professional athletes is
Jack Martin English 11—Period 1 7-29-14 Thomas Paine Thomas Paine once said “The harder the conflict, the more glorious the triumph, what we obtain too cheap we esteem to lightly.” I couldn’t agree more. Not only is this is a motivational piece, but it’s also telling the truth, it also lets people know that hard work pays off. Thomas pains quote is a motivational piece because it’s telling people that in order to get something you will value, you will have to work hard to get it. That is a life lesson some people miss. Hard work pays off in the long run.
Being in sports has also taught me that teamwork is vital, whether it be for a sport or a job. Without team work nothing can really get done, you need to be able to rely on others and trust
