Linking back to one of the first points raised, this is quite similar to the mateship the ANZACs showed during WWI and continued well after WWII. This once again impacts the audience to believe that mateship is a part of Australian identity no matter what class you come/originate
Aaron McCarthy 11136022 History of Australia Ruan O’Donnell H.P.SS ‘Identify and discuss the main success of Governor Macquarie.’ The aim of this essay is to determine the main success of Major-General Lachlan Macquarie in his role as governor of New-South Wales during the British colonization of Australia. In order to determine what indeed the main success of Macquarie was, this essay will go through his successes within the colony before determining what his main success as Governor was. Macquarie was born on a small island of the coast off Scotland called Ulva on January 31st 1762. He came from a small but powerful clan on the island, known as the Scotch clan, who had occupied the island for

At the start of Australia’s birth; the federal government had placed many laws that would separate Australia from the world in terms of how they treated the working class. We placed many laws like the eight-hour day and basic wage. These laws protected the working class and we were the leaders throughout the world to place these laws in place.

But I will be forever grateful”. This situation helped Anh come to the realisation that he is accepted and loved within Australia. Early on in the happiest refugee Anh is very conscious about how others will perceive him. He believed he wouldn’t belong if he didn’t have enough money or dress a certain way. Blessed Pope John XXIII is a channel for people to live out the Gospel message and celebrate his loyalty, mission and ministry that live on through Christians today. Pope John XXIII impetus influence on Christianity cannot be ignored; he is, for all intents and purposes, the figure central to the modernising of Christianity in the twentieth Century. His short time as Pontiff resulted in social and religious reform, as Vatican II became the channel for his vision of a universal Church to be fulfilled.
