During the time of Mr. Eldridge’s unemployment he did not make child support payments. In January 2008, Mrs. Eldridge filed a motion with the court that entered the divorce decree, seeking an order forcing Mr. Eldridge to pay a total of $7,000 in missed child support payments. Mr. Eldridge countered with a petition to modify his child support obligation. The petition requested that he be excused from having to pay the obligations that accrued during his ten month unemployment period. “Why College Education Is Important To Me” By Derrick Elgin At this turning point in my life I have arrived at a very important understanding. Education is important to me because it is the very foundation for a new beginning in my life. It will increase my knowledge and the awareness I have for the world around me. Education will benefit my future for my family and myself. A college education will greatly improve my career options and financial wellbeing.
Secondly, children increase social and cognitive development from positive influences that are communicated by teachers. Emphasis around Vygotsky’s theory will explain the basis of social interaction facilitating learning with the benefit of good communication (Eggen & Kauchak, 2010). Thirdly, teachers must develop high level of written and verbal communication skills. This will develop good relationships between the teacher, student and family leading to proper educational practices that will improve student’s overall outcomes will enhance their literacy skill. Finally, educators with effective communication skills prove an ability to adapt teaching methods to suit the needs of students they are supporting (Kearns, 2012), and with appropriate delivery of good communication, student learning increases.
