I chose these two sculptures because they were both made from Charles Edwin Wilbur fund and I wanted to see some of his art work and how he depicted one from another. If you look at Khafre throne he has a lot of symbols around it as well as the kneeling statue of senenmut.
The Divine Birth inscriptions are found in the middle colonnade of her mortuary temple in Deir el Bahri. In the first scene the the god Amun visits Queen Ahmose and holds the ankh of life to her nose and mouth allowing her to breathe in his essence and achieve divine conception as described by Breasted in the quote, ‘ she smelled in the presence. . . .
In the corners are marble fountains that are re-creations from the Villa dei Papri. And a narrow pool is in the center and is lined with replicas of bronze statues that resemble women that would have once been found at the Villa dei Papiri. As I walk around the colonnade I notice the coffered ceiling. This ceiling imitates stone ceilings found on the Street of the Tombs in Pompeii. The colonnades floor is paved with terrazzo.

Polished rose travertine stone line the rotunda, lobby and halls on the first floor. As you enter the rotunda you will notice the state seal embedded on the floor. The seal and Pioneer were sculpted by Ulric Ellerhausen. The rotunda walls are covered with four murals that represent pieces of Oregon history. The senate is on the left side of the building and the house is on the right.
In 1937, Archbishop James Charles McGuigan, who was Ordinary of the Archdiocese from 1934 until 1971, redecorated the Cathedral's interior. The present paintings, murals, achievements of arms and symbols which adorn the vaults and walls of the Cathedral date from that time. A number of changes in the Cathedral's interior were begun in 1980 under Gerald Emmett Cardinal Carter and his Cathedral Rector, Monsignor Kenneth Robitaille. A new marble high altar, pulpit, and altar of the Blessed Sacrament, decorated in a Gothic style that matches the Cathedral's architecture, were added to a raised sanctuary.  The statue is representing Mary and she’s supporting Jesus with both hands, while sitting on a stool. The word Majesty in the title suggests that these two figures belong to a royal family because they represent Christianity.  Mary and Jesus are important figures in Christian religion, this statue has been carried in church processions.  The statue seems to be stiff sitting on a stool because the way Mary’s holding Jesus with her both hands. T he shape of her hands is not real which makes the figure look rigid.
Through the divinity and humanity of the Christ, Christians and believers share the stories through word of mouth. The Son of God is also evident from the sacred texts of the Gospel testimonies which include the wonders and recoveries on people achieved by Jesus, and from the witness to his death, resurrection and ascension into heaven by his followers and other eyewitnesses. The beliefs of the divinity recognise his relationship to God as Son. Jesus’s divinity showed Jesus’ role to be the salvation of humanity and to resurrect and rise to defeat death.
