Adoption in American: Searching for a Family Have you ever thought about being a foster parent or adopting a child? Two-hundred and fifty thousand children are removed from their biological families and placed in foster care annually in the United States. (Sparks) Many children will be returned to their biological families after measures are put in place to ensure their safety and well-being. What about the children that are not returned to their families? I have learned that approximately 120,000 children are adopted annually in the United States, but 115,000 children are left in foster care searching for there forever families.
This is how we ended up with more than 408, 425 children in the foster care system as of September 2010 according to the Child Welfare Information Gateway. A huge number of parents end up abusing drugs and other things in order to suffice their habits and neglect their children. In the end, the children are
Should parents be allowed to spank their kids? A child should definitely be spanked of course by the parent or guardian because a firm spanking teaches one not to do something bad again. A simple pop across the wrists or on the hand could possibly save a child's life in certain situations. A pop on the wrists or a pop on the butt is something the child will more likely remember far more than such of a "stern talking to" or a time out. Eventually after a few spankings here and there the child will learn from right and wrong very quickly.
As thousands of homeless children like Brian transfer in and out of schools each year, educators are legally obligated to enroll and support them. The Stewart B. McKinney Homeless Assistance act was enacted in 1987 to provide homeless students with educational opportunities. The passage of the "No Child Left Behind" Act of 2001 reauthorized the McKinney-Vento Homeless Assistance Act, the federal law that entitles homeless children to a free and appropriate public education;
Abuse and neglect in the home is a leading cause of death for children age 4 and younger. Most physical abuse fatalities are committed by fathers and other male caretakers, although the great majority of parenting and child abuse prevention programs are targeted to women. Family violence is strongly correlated with child abuse fatalities; about 50 percent of homes with adult violence also involve child abuse and neglect. The pathology spills over class and economic condition. The cycle of abuse is difficult to interrupt; abused children often, as adults, become abusers themselves.
Examining Government Regulations National Institute of Justice Records there are roughly 11.3 million women and children whom are victims of domestic violence each year in the United States. The United States government and state legislatives have placed laws and regulations to help protect the innocent and punish those who violate these laws. Restraining orders in most cases are injected to protect the victims of violence. The federal government and U.S. Territories have combined other provisions into this order to protect the victims from cyber stalking, and staking.

Adoption Adoption is better than abortion, it gives many children who need a home a good home. Statistics show there are over 153 million orphans who have lost one or both parents in the United States. Of the over 400,000 children who are in foster care in the U.S., 114,556 cannot be returned to their birth families and are waiting to be adopted. On average, more than 60 percent of children in foster care spend 2-5 years in the system before being adopted. Almost 20 percent spend 5 or more years before being adopted and some never get adopted.
This phrase simply means if you don’t give the child a spanking when they deserve it, you’re teaching them that their behavior is ok. A typical spanking (a couple swats with a hand) may be physically harmless; however, it can get out of hand. When a spanking is given out of anger or with a belt, stick or other instrument, it becomes both physical and emotional abuse (Ciccarelli & White, 2012 p.188). This is why spanking is considered a severe form of punishment. Severe forms of punishment have many drawbacks associated with them. Severe punishment can cause the child being punished to avoid the punisher instead of the behavior being punished, so the child learns to respond the wrong way (Ciccarelli & White,

The support of these programs will also help to groom and prepare youth for when they are ready to sustain a healthy mature relationship to be able to distinguish right from wrong and will also bring about less intervention from the courts.
