Should all children be vaccinated? For decades, perhaps even centuries, diseases such as cholera, aids, HIV, hepatitis a and b, measles and so on, had been known to mankind for longer than we can imagine. It is easy and arguably completely natural for us humans to catch diseases and to have a disease in our lifetime. Many believe that with the use of vaccines, these and other diseases could be cured or simply be prevented. However, after the introduction of immunization, there has been a great debate regarding vaccination and its safety and how it could further risk people’s health with its side effects. A vaccine is a medical product. Although they are designed to protect people from certain diseases, immunizations can also cause side effects, just as any other medication can. Most side effects from vaccination are mild, such as soreness, swelling, or redness at the injection site. Some vaccines are associated with fever, rash, and achiness. Serious side effects are not common, but are also not uncommon, and may include seizure or life-threatening allergic reactions. The chances of having serious side effects from vaccination may be slim, but it should never be ignored or disregarded.…show more content…
