Beneficial in the way it helps the overall population and harmful for its side effects are not always certain. To me, the benefit of the overall population outweighs the damage from one person. However, there are several reasons why some people are against vaccinations. One reason being, that it is against some religions. According to Mathew D. Staver, people oppose certain vaccines because some vaccines are made from aborted fetal tissue; such as vaccines for Chicken pox, Hepatitis-A, and Rubella.
Opposition to vaccines has existed since the earliest vaccination campaigns. Although the benefits of preventing these diseases greatly outweigh the risks of a rare side effect, disputes have arisen over the morality, effectiveness, and safety of vaccinations (5). Concern has been raised by the spreading of unfound information about the medical risks of vaccines. This increases the rates of life threatening disease, not only in the children whose parents refused vaccinations, but also in other children. This false information has led to an increase in vaccine preventable illnesses as well as an increase in the number of vaccine preventable deaths.
Vaccinations can help prevent future diseases or viruses in the upcoming life of a child. According to an article from vaccines.gov, “Because of advances in medical science, your child can be protected against more diseases than ever before. Some diseases that once injured or killed thousands of children, have been eliminated completely and others are close to extinction- primarily due to stay safe and effective vaccinations.” Throughout the years more viruses have been prevented due to vaccinations in children. There has also been an increase in the amount of children that get vaccinations at a young age. Also stated in the article from vaccines.gov, “ Vaccines are only given to children after a long and careful review by scientists, doctors, and healthcare professionals.
The virus can be found on the surface of the skin, cervix, vagina, anus, vulva, head of penis, mouth and throat. Since it is found in so many places it can easily be spread. HPV is not curable but is preventable. With people knowing this why is the vaccine intake rate so low? Is it because we don’t even know what HPV is or maybe it’s because we are not informed about the vaccine, or could it be we know about the vaccine but it’s too expensive for the average person?
A recently developed a new treatment for macular degeneration with very good results in general (although there are people who do not respond to this treatment), which is based on the use of injections periodic anti-VEGF (vascular endothelial growth ), they are hindering the development of new vessels, which is the alteration that really worsens the prognosis of the disease. Other less frequent macular degeneration, such as the toxic maculopathy , occur as a result of the ingestion of certain substances, such as drugs used in malaria , namely chloroquine, so when this drug is used is eye must perform regular checks, as well as a previous eye
It is shaped like a loosely closed fist. It acts as a filter for the blood taking bacteria and other foreign organisms out of the blood helping prevent infection. However, it is possible to live without a spleen as other organs in the body partly take over its function. Life without a spleen? The main risk to health after a splenectomy is an infection such as septicaemia, as the blood is not being filtered as effectively as it should be.
Liver biopsy: Faced with a negative screen, extra-hepatic diseases such as cardiac failure and inflammatory, infective and mitotic conditions should be considered. If diagnostic doubt persists, a percutaneous ultrasound-guided liver biopsy should be considered. It may clarify diagnosis, thereby directing therapy, and through staging (assessment of fibrosis). It is often overlooked in the older population due to safety concerns. However, complications are rare and mortality is age independent at approximately 0.2% (Fox et al., 2011).
Drugs can be delivered directly under the skin (subcutaneously). It is useful for efficient, slow, and even absorption for sustained effects on the body but drug substance can be irritating. Inhaling drugs can be a great way of administering a drug considering the rapid absorption and avoidance of hepatic first pass metabolism. But there is not really a good way of regulating the dose. Intrathecal drugs is a rare way of administering drug directly into the CNS but there is a higher risk for systemic toxicity.
Radiation scans have the potential to be very toxic. Physicians could be unaware of the toxins used in a radiation scan. The physician only orders the scan to be done and the radiologist performs the procedure. The radiologist is aware of the toxins used but the physician is not as aware. Physicians need to be educated on the risk of a radiation scan and be sure that it is necessary for the patient to have the procedure done and is safe for them.
Also it may be used in the chemotherapy treatement used in cancer patients to prevent some highly stressful side effects (nausea, vomiting.) Cannabis is often contaminated with some toxic components which may cause more harm than the substance itself. A legal supply would be pure and therefore safer. Countries which have experimented with decriminalisation have not encountered massive increases in use. There are some people which use drugs basically because they are illegal exciting and dangerous, a thrill.
