A person would think people with money would be looked down upon because they buy these illegal drugs but there is less stigmatizing because they have disposable money. They tend to use the drugs recreationally and that is exactly what happened in the Dorm Room Drug Dealers. As far as stigmatizing, Kitty from Cocaine Kids took advantage of the fact that she was a Caucasian female and eventually started to make her drop offs in a business casual dress while arriving in a limousine. This example of Kitty is not a fitting description of a drug dealer but because of
Murderers James Hamm and David Mumbaugh depicts different ways of paying their debt. Jane Bernstein’s view of understanding appropriate punishment for murder is altered when she encounters the different ways paying a debt and the influence of the Victim’s Bill of Rights. She suggests that there’s validation in allowing victims to play a role in the decision of a criminal’s release, yet they should not confer the power to determine one’s destiny. All too often, individuals who after being convicted of their crimes, served their sentences and are due for release, but are then subjected to the wrath of their victims and/or their relatives. At times, there are even attempts through the legal system to have their sentences reduced and released on “good behavior”.
Cartels are the suppliers of drugs to gangs in and out of prison. If our government doesn’t want crime in the streets, then “stop the cartels”. Horrifying things have happened to people who have stood in the way of the cartels. Murder, slaughter, and torture are mainly it. I am against the murdering of innocent people.
This has the consequence that many people have to commit crimes and go into prostitution to buy the drugs they depend on. Yet each time they get what they want, they become more and more sick. Although everything for the people in “Brave New World” is great and everyone is happy and uninhibited if they get their lovely soma, they are also often dependent on the drug. Brave New World’s government supports soma to ensure passiveness of its people and thereby the stability of their created world. Alcohol, on the contrary, seems like an illegal drug in the New World because you become an outsider by drinking it, though it is not forbidden by the
The drug addicts lose all respect for themselves and these addictions end up taking over their lives. Maybe the addicts are right when they say the addictions are their own fault and aren’t a reflection towards their troubled childhood. Addicts may just get caught up in the wrong situation at the wrong time and end up getting addicted to a drug just to fit in with peers. Drug addictions will create emotional distress no matter whose fault it
Many people, including average citizens, rebelled against this outlaw of liquor. Because the consumption of alcohol was illegal, people that were going against prohibition had to find clever ways to obtain their liquor. Some men and women often attached flasks filled with bootlegged alcohol to their legs or hips. In almost every community there was a speakeasy somewhere. People attended speakeasies to secretly buy and sell alcohol.
When Marijuana is illegal, you have to find a drug dealer or someone who sells it. This can indeed be dangerous; but that also helps keep some people away from perusing it. If you were able to have a friend or someone you know buy it for you over the counter, yes it would definitely be safer; but it will be pretty much in the hands of anyone who wants it now. And having a increased population of people smoking pot will not benefit in anyway. It will only make the people become even more lazy then what we already are.
To deny him this was wrong. Some people think that staying in detention centres is a vacation, because the government pays for everything, but how would they know, have they been or stayed inside one? People make assumptions on what they see in the media, but the media also doesn’t know the full story, they just know what the officials tell them and want them to see. Living in detention centres is NOT some holiday, it is harsh and a horrible place to stay. Detention centres is not a place where the people are treated with respect and kindness, it is a place where people, especially teenagers get sexually assaulted, given the wrong medication and can even die.
Lying is probably one of the most common acts people do on a daily bases. People would say the lying is always wrong, but sometimes if that person has a good purpose for a lie, that lie is not always bad. Most of the time, a person chooses to lie to maintain her social connections, protect a loved one’s feeling and to be plain selfish. People want to maintain their existing social connections, so they choose to carry on different faces, and not to speak out when there is a need of truth. They choose to do things totally against their will, and find a reason to cover up their guilt.
Even though there are laws stating you may not purchase or sell drugs some people are going to sell and use drugs anyway. The selling and purchasing of drugs is a big business. To some the consequences are not great enough to prevent them from breaking the law. The reason as to why an individual would go to such costly extremes depends on that individual’s life situations, finances, personality traits/character, personal beliefs, and
