Even though some may not particularly like the fashion, sagging your pants should not be categorized as indecent exposure or considered illegal activity. The Editorial: Wildwood Pants Patrol: Don’t Let Them Down, out of the Philadelphia Inquirer says, “Dress is after all, an important form of personal expression. That means that thanks to the founding fathers, you can probably wear your britches just about any way that you like.” (“Pants Patrol”) Saggy pants may be offensive to some but should not be considered a criminal act because how a person wears their clothing is a personal choice as dictated by the First Amendment right to free speech and expression. Saggy pants originated in prison. Young men whose clothing did not fit would just let their pants sag.
Judge Marvin Arrington, a black judge in Atlanta, confirms that in Atlanta, African-Americans are 54 percent of the population, but are responsible for 100 percent of homicide, 95 percent of rape, 94 percent of robbery, 84 percent of aggravated assault, and 93 percent of burglary. Source: APD Uniform Crime Reports, Apr 2011 to Apr 2012. The real problem is the moral structure deterioration so prevalent around the country, not the skin pigmentation of our citizens. It is sad that more of our black citizens are not more upset about the realities of these statistics as the black citizens seem to be suffering the most acutely as
Transition: First of all let me make everyone understands that I’m not trying to say people who wear sagging pants are lesser individuals. By no means am I trying to say they are irresponsible or incompetent. A. Main Idea 1: I think it’s a conflict between casual and professional dress. To say that people who prefer comfort are irresponsible would be wrong in fact.
They’re white aren’t they?" Cecil understands that it is wrong to persecute people as long as they are white. This again shows the racist society these Americans were brought up in as it was wrong to persecute a white person because they were human but fine to persecute a black person because they were not human. In the more modern years of the twenty-first century, segregation is becoming less and less present in our society and it is now a ridiculous and inhumane
Rehydn Montes English III Miss Freitez P.3 August 21, 2014 500 word essay Beliefs in opposition to common values should be illegal. I am going to have to disagree with that statement. The reason I love America so dearly is because I have a voice to be heard, and free will. When you imply this rule both of those go away. As people we should have the freedom to think and believe whatever we want, no one else should be able to tell you that what you think and believe is wrong or right in a sense that would make it illegal to believe that.

The book, The Death Penalty in America, provides a table from 1995; the total number of blacks on death row at that time was 1,246 versus 1,470, the total number of whites (Bedau 65-66). One thing to keep in mind is that blacks make up only 12.8% of our total population (D’Alessio & Stolzberg). Racism is a hateful word. Many people look the other way and deny its existence. But not only does it exist; it subsists in one of the most sensitive areas of our judicial system, capital punishment.
The second is considered disorderly conduct, which is when underwear is exposed, and the beltline of the pants are below the person’s buttocks. Following is the final stage, which is indecent exposure and includes when the person’s buttocks are exposed. The punishments for either of the last two stages are 93 days to a year in jail and/or up to $500 in fines. The severity of the punishment has brought up the opinions of many residents in Flint and it’s surrounding areas. Many people believe that the singularization of this one fad is more than just for indecency, but for discrimination of
The strangest aspect of America’s immigration debate is the intense opposition among right-wing hardliners to allowing more immigrants into the country. Most opposition to illegal immigrants stems from an admirable respect for the law, but there is a curious belief among the far right that being on the wrong side of the border—purely through an accident of birth—makes you undeserving of equal rights. They wish to deny citizenship to those who are willing to work for it, when they themselves acquired it through no effort save that of having been born on the right side of the border. These same people, curiously enough, are also of the following opinions: no one is entitled to anything, people who work harder than others deserve more, and the economy should be free from government regulation. This much the amusingly named teabaggers have made clear in hundreds of “tea parties” organized to protest government policies they view as “socialistic”.
That was the price of an average small house, if that woman were to be sold today she'd be worth £100k alone. Not everyone was for this disastrous event, people did everything they could to abolish the trading of Black people. Surely enough it did, after a long time. Slaves were being sold for high amounts of money, they weren't seen as human but cargo. This is morally wrong as cargo is usually inanimate, unless it's the trading of animals.
