This is the same for West Side Story but Tony a local Jet falls in love with Maria a sister to a Shark. In Romeo & Juliet, Mercutio a friend to Romeo and a Kingman to Prince, but in West Side Story a young Jet named Riff, who was a friend to Tony. In Romeo & Juliet there was this beloved and somewhat crazy woman who had taken care of Juliet like her own and her name was Nurse. In the West Side Story there is a girl like a mother to Maria but in fact this woman is her brother’s girlfriend and her name is Anita. In Romeo & Juliet there is this temper-minded always looking for a fight character named Tybalt and in West Side Story this character Bernardo is also a character always looking for a fight and will never stop until he has succeeded.

A comparison of the play “Romeo and Juliet” with “West Side Story” Romeo and Juliet as well as West Side Story are very well known plays. There are many similarities and differences though between the two plays. There are two lovers from opposite sides in each. In Romeo and Juliet there are Romeo and Juliet. In West Side Story there are Tony and Maria.
These works have a similar villain. Tybalt of Romeo and Juliet is similar to Don John in Much Ado About Nothing in that both characters do not approve of the lover‘s relationships and wish to break them up. Furthermore, Romeo and Juliet are similar to Claudio and Hero, who are the leading couples in each play. The comic relief in each play is the watch in Much Ado About Nothing and the servants in Romeo and Juliet. Also, Mercutio and Benedick are both scornful of love.

Romeo and Juliet fall in love, later to find that they are enemies. They continue to practice their love secretly, until things become complicated, making suicide a choice. Their deaths were their own fault. Although their miserable ending could’ve changed into a happily ever after.
Romeo and Juliet In Romeo and Juliet written by William Shakespeare, they experience love and violence throughout the play. When Romeo sees Juliet for the first time they fall in love almost instantly which leads to killing and deaths later on. The actions of the adults and children caused Romeo and Juliet to die because of their miscommunications with Romeo and the feud between the parents and the Capulets. In addition, with Tybalt’s arrogance to fight Romeo. To start off, the parents fighting with the Capulets led to the death of Romeo and Juliet.
The family's rich friend Rajat Kapoor, has been found guilty of raping Aditi’s cousin when her cousin was a child, the wedding planner has a secret love with the maid and so on. All of these complex human relationships make this whole story seem very authentic. It leaves us with deep thoughts about different cultures and different attitude about social class. One thing that intrigued me so much was the different attitudes on sex or emotion between different classes in India. In the movie, we learn that the wedding planner is a poor and unsophisticated person who is from the low class.

These are the Franco Zefirelli’s version, Baz Luhrman’s version and the West Side Story. They are all based in the story of “Romeo and Juliet” but they are made differently especially in the setting, language, and some of their content. At the same time, there are also many similarities between these three movie versions of “Romeo and Juliet”. The Similarities between the Zefirelli and the Luhrman is the use of the Shakespearean language and the difference is their settings.
Scott accepts the challenge and then starts to dance and see how much Fran knows. As they started dancing Fran was very unsure with her feet and couldn’t even do a basic stance. Scott figured this out, one night as he walked her home he made it clear to her that the Rumba is a dance of love but this is just pretend.
