Vehicle rollover has been identified as the vehicle crash with highest fatality. Rollover crashes are among the most significant of all safety problems for all classes of light vehicles, especially pickups, Sport Utility Vehicles (SUV), Light Trucks Vehicle(LTV) and vans. About 8,242people were killed in light vehicle rollover crashes, which constitutes almost one fifth of 40,080 crash victims in USA, in 2010. According to NHTSC in year 2010, 7% of light vehicle crashes involved rollover, but these crashes accounted for 31% of light vehicle occupant fatalities. English 112 17 April 2014 Law Enforcement Preventable Vehicle Crashes Driving is a daily activity that law enforcement officers do that affects the whole community. There are a large percentage of patrol vehicle crashes every year. Patrol vehicle crashes are costly to agencies and create more expenses to taxpayers and their municipalities. Crashes are not always the law enforcement officers’ fault, but a lot of these crashes are. Officers responding to calls, engaging in car chases and driving on routine patrol make them more of a liability while operating a motor vehicle than an average daily commuter.
This rapid spread greatly effected Europe in the 14th century. The most pressing issue caused by the Black Death was the large number of deaths and the rate at which they were occurring. The death tolls varied from place to place in Europe, and an exact number of how much all together was killed is unknown. However, historians estimate anywhere from 75-200 million people died from the plague within the span of 4 years. In some cities as many as 500-800 people would die daily by this disease.
Drunk driving has become one of the leading causes for deaths in America. Consuming alcohol in excess amounts impairs judgment, therefore when consumers binge drink it often leads to them choosing to get into a car and driving while intoxicated. This does not only put the consumer at risk but it dangers the other passengers in the car and anyone on the road at that given time. Every day, almost 30 people in the United States die in motor vehicle crashes that involve an alcohol-impaired driver. This amounts to one death every 48 minutes.
To examine this issue one should look at the following: Firstly, I would love to see the death rates in Alcohol related deaths go down drastically. The U.S has the highest drinking age in the world and it has been estimated to have saved 17,000 lives. More people would get to live till their oldest. Secondly, the highest deaths among teens are road crashes, and 2 out of the 5 teens had been drinking. Thirdly, how would you feel driving to your child’s funeral knowing it could have been prevented?
