Jonathan Dasilva Professor Andrea Wallet Enc1101 Monday-Wednesday 8:00-9:15 Failure to success Believing that to be a success in life you have to fail is just the beginning because the secret to success is to learn from your mistakes and have character strengths such as zest, grit and self control as Dominic Randolph from Riverdale Country School would agree. Learning from your failures will not only make you a better person but you already experienced the worst part so that means you know what not to do to have a better outcome. Having character strengths will make you as solid as a rock because you’re a foundation that cannot be shaken. Learning the mistakes and having character strengths will guarantee you to be a force in this world that cannot be stopped and the main character strengths are zest, grit, and self-control First, zest is how you approach life with enthusiasm and energy. If you don’t get excited for anything then how will you push yourself to improve and be a better version of yourself? If you feel excited about something then be excited by doing it one hundred percent because its better to make a mistake quickly and learning from it as soon as you make it instead of barely trying and not improving because you didn’t make a mistake to learn from.…show more content…
If you approach life by completing your tasks despite the obstacles that come your way then not only is that a respectful quality but it drives you to find out how far you’ve come. Persistence and tenacity makes leaders, presidents, athletes, and businesses flourish in this world. True grit isn’t just a movie starring Jeff bridges it’s a character strength that cannot be destroyed if you stick to it. A definition that’s appropriate for grit is no matter what is in your way a man that keeps going and struggles until the end will see the result of his work and look back and see how far his feet have carried
