Assignment on Political Parties The United States is a diverse country. There are two main political parties existing in the United States which are the Democratic Party and Republican Party. Each party has their own prospective views of political life. They differ from each other in various ways, even though both of them are significant in American political life. The issues that Republicans and Democrats focus on are different. What are suggestions that Republicans and Democrats will offer in economics’ recession? Republicans hold their faith to the power of the “free market” and oppose government interfere. However, Democrats support that the growth of job opportunities can be increase from government assistance through rebuilding the infrastructure and tax cutting on small business. In addition, they also believe in how significant of middle class families. Republicans believe in the policies of former president Reagan who stated that, “Peace through Strength” in the National Defense issue (GOP.com). And they support that central government should build a strong military force to defend against threats. However, Democrats believe in stopping the spread of nuclear weapon. Soldiers can be organized and will defend America when America been threatened from other country. Otherwise, they also have family to be taken of. Energy is very significant for a nation’s economic development. Both Republicans and Democrats want to produce more Green energy. Nevertheless, Republicans disagree with the imposing national energy tax on small business and families. Democrats focus more on technological innovation in energy production; therefore, it creates more jobs. Conservatives is political and social philosophy and support traditional social institution. For example, Republicans strongly trust the existing American court system and interpretation of laws from judges. Plus, they emphasize the importance of the primary and secondary educational system. In other words, the more education you have, then the more money you will be making. In National Defense, conservatives and Republicans hold the same view that the U.S. must maintain a strong military. On the other hand, the ideology of Democrats is liberal. Democrats support immigration reform, social reform inn making health care available for all Americans and extensive government intervention in helping the recovery of economy and creating more jobs.
