Amanda kept a lot of secrets to herself, like that she was pregnant and that she was black mailing Cherry’s dad. When Amanda’s body was found down at the waterfront it turned out that she was pregnant. No-body knew about this, not her friends or her boyfriend, not even her family knew about this. In the novel Kate stated that she knew nothing of this. She said “There were things Amanda wasn’t telling her.” Amanda didn’t share a lot of her secrets with the people in the group which just shows that the group didn’t really know her at all.

She refuses to oblige in the society’s way of feeling conscience-stricken for those who are unfortunate, as in her case. She repudiates the very deliberation of social protection for her "unable" limbs. Mairs is an individualist who refuses to seek protection for her "crippled" body. The word choice employed by any writer can interpret or conceal any of the author's motives or secrets.
Mary Tallmountain Mary Tallmountain is considered one of the greatest writers amongst the Native American community. Although she really didn’t gain much recognition nationally until the early 1980’s when she won the Pushcart Prize. She is mostly known as a spiritual and cultural writer for instance the poem, “There Is No Word for Goodbye.�� In this poem she shows the conversation between an Athabaskan girl and her aunt. The girl is trying to find out how to say goodbye in Athabaskan. The aunt in the poem seems to be very old and wise.
Although she was born in Thornton, near Bradford in Yorkshire, England, the family moved to Haworth when Bronte was just six years old. Her family was quite dysfunctional and had it's ups and downs. She was one of six and unfortunately experienced several tragic events growing up. Bronte and her two sister's were well recognized as the English sisters who had all published books throughout the mid-1800's. After having such a traumatizing childhood, she still found a way to overcome the obstacles and become a novelist.
The end of the story is her dreaming she is only reading a book of ghost stories that end. 3. My reaction to this piece is worry, as this haunting could happen to anyone, including me. She seems to have comes to terms writing about her experiences. The author seems to have told her story before but no one has taken it seriously.
To Kill a Mockingbird Among the most popular modern English classic novels, few have had the reception that Harper Lee’s To Kill a Mockingbird has continued to receive. The brilliant narration of a story about a fictional town called Maycomb, Alabama, during the Great Depression in the 1930’s, has won the book several tributes including the Pulitzer Prize (Bloom 190). The book begins with Scout, as a grown woman, looking back at her childhood living with her father, Atticus Finch, who is a widowed lawyer and a man of great discipline and principle. The book focuses on the lives of three children, Scout her older brother Jeremy, and Dill, a friend of the Finch’s who lives in Maycomb during the summer. The household also has a black housekeeper
One woman awoke to a piercing scream just after midnight. She also stated that she heard the sound of clashing metal against concrete. Another neighbor affirmed he saw odd, dim lights coming from the Ramsey’s kitchen. Both of the neighbors disregarded these peculiar actions and did not report them to officials (Wecht and Bosworth -10). When questioned by police, the Ramsey’s said they did not hear anything unusual or witness anything suspicious.
Most of the cases never make it to court due to mishandling of the evidence or the victim drops the case because of the backlog of the tribal judicial system. Also, I found that there is little to no resource for victims to recover from the sexual trauma, such as mental health services and other outreach programs. The disruption of tribal tradition set the stage for addictions to alcohol, substance abuse, incest, violence, and sexual abuse. The sexual assault victims have a tendency to keep the assault a secret because the perpetrator is either a family member or a friend of the family. These victim suffers emotionally, and psychologically, especially if the victim is not supported by their family.

This movie was perfectly put into a storyline that makes it a famous film. Titanic is a famous movie that has a very inspirational storyline that people will never forget. A 101-year-old woman named Rose DeWitt Bukater tells the story to her granddaughter and others about her life on the titanic.
