After working through these problems and spending more time together, they became very good friends. Coach Boone even told Coach Yoast that his daughter, Sheryl, was welcome at his house anytime. In both these examples of friendship, they learnt to trust each other, respect each other and work together, which are very important values to have in a friendship and is more important then just winning football games.
Jason Peter expressed how much mental strength he possessed as he led the reader through his life story and never seemed to have lost hope. A reoccurring theme in Hero of the Underground is hope. Peter repeatedly mentions how hope is what carried him through his addiction. Peter says, “after each surgery, after each long, painful recovery, the hope would return. The hope that maybe this was it, I was fully recovered, I could get back to the business of playing and winning games” (Peter 114).
Puck loves helping his master, whom he loves, and he is proud when he is able to do the things he is asked to do. He enjoys life as it is, and lives it to the fullest. He loves serving a wise sovereign because he believes that he does by helping his master is always correct. That makes his life easier; and so he neither has to be alone nor think about occupying himself with material questions such as what to eat or drink.
Jim’s character is greatly influenced by the character named Mac. Mac led Jim everywhere and taught Jim everything there was to know about being part of the party. Jim so wanted to have a purpose in life and be able to contribute and do something helpful for once in his life. Jim is the one character that would do anything to help someone in need, like in the book how Jim and Mac helped a women give birth, thus creating a friendship and trust with many other characters. A quote that Jim says that I read was, “One must work towards something” this quote that Jim said ,to me means that Jim always needed to work towards something to deserve it and he always did work towards everything to accomplish what needed to be done.

He decided to name his lecture, “Really Achieving Your Childhood Dreams.” He delivered his speech on September 18, 2007on the campus of CMU with an audience of over 400. The difference in Randy’s “final talk” and the other professor’s who had preceded him was that his speech wasn’t about dying.
He started expressing a strong word that is “love” and the sayings of Robert Kennedy when Robert was alive. Ted used examples to contribute the image of his dead brother, such as the speech of his brother to the young people of South Africa and what Robert really meant to do if he lived. The introduction grabs the audience´s attention almost instantly since the speech is a eulogy of a dead honorable man; however, the audience´s attention slowly decreased during the middle of his speech. The conclusion raised the attention at the end because of the strong last quote and the intense emotions expressed by Ted Kennedy toward his brother. The language that Ted has used can be understood, so no unfamiliar words were present; however, his vocabulary was very advanced but acceptable to the mature public.
