As a leading member of management it is even more vital that I am aware and up to date with the above, as part of my role is to guide, support and influence other staff to do well in their own roles. My own professional develop does not only impact on me but on other staff, the company and people who use the service. Reflective practice is a huge part of professional development and I need to be skilful in this to really benefit from it; criticising your own practice isn’t always easy but if you take a step back and look at it from different points of view it can really benefit how you recognise and utilise your skills. To improve my own knowledge is very important to me and I really enjoy learning new skills which can benefit my roles or future roles.
A favorable first impression and interview will “make it or break it” for many people in this competitive job market. Once a stellar interview has landed you a good job, interpersonal skills will determine your ability to attain promotions and build rapport with coworkers and clients. Great interpersonal skills are also an attribute of a good leader. Leaders will demonstrate accountability and the autonomy necessary for today’s workplace. In conclusion, Today’s workplace requires specific knowledge in the form of technological skills in order to remain competitive.
When developing into any type of a leader there are many requirements and expectation that will need to be developed in order to fulfil any leadership role. Remembering with an increased positional authority and visibility attract greater attention to and reliance on the manager's leadership style. The ability to step back from the daily pressures of their jobs and look at the big picture, to learn new skills, and to build their professional networks advanced degree program often bring to the table a deeper understanding of business management techniques and tools all creates a successful leader in a leadership role. Leaders are enablers that energize organizations. “Leadership should never be confused with the management or administration of a non-profit organization.” There are an abundance of leadership definitions I found; almost all of them stand true to what I would require as leading to my expectations.
An operations manager is a person who runs the operations of a business daily. This position is responsible for efficient and effective measures. The operations manager must continue to find ways to make the company more efficient and profitable. I am best suited for this position because of my strong work ethic, organization, and motivation skills. The company will benefit from my motivation to get the job done and my organization skills to put everything in place.
It involves modeling the vision, forming teams, influencing them and aligning people to achieve the set goals. Leadership bears the responsibility of inspiring people and producing meaningful changes in the company. Leadership is therefore responsible for positioning people and organizations in the right positions. A good leader has the ability to articulate a vision and assign the right people the right tasks based on their talents. Leaders motivate their subordinates and in return obtain outstanding results from their employees.
