This learner has worked for the past thirty years, and has had the pleasure of working with one leader who truly inspired others around her to do their best in every area of their lives, not just at work. Describe a Leader Dr. Dansby is currently a Director of the Upward Bound Program. The purpose of the Upward Bound Program is to motivate high school students to finish high school and obtain a four year degree and beyond. The program couldn’t have chosen a better person to be Director. Dr. Dansby’s leadership abilities involved influencing others to take control of their jobs and do their best at their jobs. She was open to new ideas, and was courteous when new ideas presented wouldn’t benefit the organization. The environment was a stress free environment and her door was always open to everyone.
