Since the Walton Work Wear line is in the production stage, its accumulated development costs should be capitalized. The Carroway Cool Top has not started it commercial production which would allow the development costs not to be amortized yet. Also interest costs on loans to generate financing for the R&D activates of a product can be capitalized rather than expensed. The capitalization of interest would allow CCL to reduce taxable income in the future when it is more profitable. I would recommend that CCL make the above changes immediately so that the financail statements are not incorrect.
If the customer does have bad credit then it’s up to you to take the chance and offer your services. It is sometimes not so good to turn down customers due to a bad credit report because it can cause you a chance to blow a great business deal. But also Keep in mind that if they already have a problem with paying bills and if you choose to still do business with them you can set up a payment arrangement to have the bill automatically drafted out of the account every pay period. This way the payment is never late. This is sometimes the best route to go rather you are bad with paying bills or not.
This is our major flaws in the credit report. There is not enough education to the society and consumers. If society as a whole knew the dangers of low credit scores early in their lives, then they would take care of their credit better. If everyone had access to their credit report 24 hours a day 7 days a week free of charge then they would know where they stand and would better manage their credit. Just like a bank account, if you can see on-line where your money is going then you can better avoid overdrawing your account.
3.0 Recommendations 3.1 To reduce the exceeding of budgets, I recommend that more time is spent to see where money can be saved without risking health and safety. This will help to ensure that costs are covered by the budget but also ensure that even though not as much money is being spent, the level of health and safety is maintained. 3.2 To increase budget accuracy, we will provide our budget department with the latest prices and costs that they need to work with to create the budgets. This will help to ensure accuracy as this is very important when budgeting. As we’ve seen before inaccurate budgeting has left us short and we have had to raise extra capital and/ or cut other costs.
There are reports that say the economy will grow over the next few years (2010), but there is a possibility that they could be wrong and that won’t happen. If the opposite happens and the economy hits a decline, this could really hurt the business of Keystone and many other companies for that matter. On that note, people will start looking to save money and if they can find the same product that this company offers for a cheaper price, they might just do that. The last red flag that I would see when deciding whether to select this client would be the fact that they have recently started extending credit to customers with less than perfect credit (2010). Although this could mean nothing, this could also be the beginning of a downward spiral of bad debt.
I would have some difficulty ordering the parts possibly which could delay the repair but it would eventually get fixed and possibly much cheaper than calling a repair man. Conclusion: Using the creative process enabled me to isolate the problem and develop two possible solutions. After discussing the solutions with my wife we agreed that calling a repair man was the best decision because time is more important than the possibility of saving a few dollars. By using the creative process I have opened my mind to numerous ideas and developed two viable solutions. If I did not used the creative process, I may have overlooked the obvious problem and just replaced the refridgerator which would cost me lots of money.
Critics of an open border policy are concerned that health and welfare benefits would be taken advantage of by the economic migrants (Wellman 1.3). An easy solution to this problem would be to deny the newcomers these benefits until they have paid their dues through time, loyalty, and taxes. I agree with Wellman's solution of having a condition that says benefits may only be allowed for distribution once a person has lived, worked, and paid taxes for a certain number of years. To deny economic migrants benefits altogether would be unethical since they would be paying into the system, however it does not seem unreasonable to require that they earn the right to seek these benefits over time. As it is, we currently provide certain privileges to illegal immigrants through free public education for their children (due to the No Child Left Behind Act), so it makes more sense to allow the hiring of economic migrants who would be contributing government funding rather than allow the problem of illegal immigration to grow and thus continue spending money on people who make less contributions back to
If you doing something they do not approve of they can threaten to stop paying for college. That is why you need to save up money. It is best to get a job as soon as you’re sixteen or once you start driving. Either way getting a job as soon as possible is vital. Once you get a job you need to save up.
Firstly, you will need to have a stable source of income to cover those monthly payments and an emergency savings as well as a good credit rating. After which they will examine the independences of the various tasks, skills and other resources (Keller, 1998). Doing this will result in the project plan and coming up with a with an appropriate budget for the project as having a good plan and a realistic budget will result in the budget going well according to needs of the client. If the either the plan or the budget is poorly done then this will prove to be harmful to the client as the project can and will over run its spending limits (budget) and also go over the specified period that it was intended to last and therefore the client will lose both time and money. Assembling the Team The project team can make or break the entire project, often times the project manager has little to say about who works on the project. The team will be assembled from people with the right skills to who are not assigned to work of higher authority than the project.
