When looking at the parent or talking to them they seem to be apathetic to very depressed. They feel as if the only way to feeling anything is to make the child feel just as miserable as they are. In a lot of parents there seems to be a lot of drugs and alcohol use. They also behave in a bizarre manner. As in sudden out bursts or even lashing out on a child in public.
Bronte’s description of the red room helps the reader understand that Jane is very frightened by this room because she is a child. The windows in the room are described as being “shrouded in festoons and falls of similar drapery”. Bronte uses the adjective “shrouded” which is a metaphor for death. Dead people are usually shrouded and this gives the impression that the room is haunted. Also the fact that the window is described as being half shrouded gives the connotation of a dead person, half living.

Child abuse can really mess up a child and their future. It makes them feel like they did something wrong or they are nothing. It makes children be down on themselves and think it is ok to abuse someone smaller than them.

Analysis of “The Wall” When humans go through a very hard time we can have problems showing our feelings. Instead we lock them up in our self, and create a place inside us filled with hate, anger and guilt. This is also what happens to the main character in the film “The Wall”, Pink. Pink has felt a lot of pain in his life. He lost his father in war, his wife was him unfaithful, he had controlling teachers in school, and he had to deal with a very overprotective mother.

Battered women cry and start to lose respect for the abuser. The woman will feel guilty all the time. It can provoke a woman to feel ashamed and she would have low self-esteem. Women who are battered can develop mental trauma.
I am writing about an issue that occurs within broken families and is a form of child abuse. This little known form of abuse is called Hostile Parenting, formally called Parental Alienation Syndrome (PAS). Hostile Parenting is a group of behaviors that are damaging to the children’s mental and emotional well-being and can interfere with a relationship between the child and either parent. These behaviors most often accompany high conflict marriages, separation and divorce. The behaviors whether verbal or nonverbal, cause a child to be mentally manipulated or bullied into believing a loving parent is the cause of all their problems, or the enemy to be feared, hated, disrespected and avoided.
Some kids end up blaming their parents and do not want to be a part of the family and feel as though their parents to do accept them anymore. This causes children to misbehave at school and with friends. Many children may leave their homes, start using drugs, steal, and end up in prison. The emotional state of the kids become hurt and unhealthy. Children are also affected by divorce academically.
The main causes of social intimidation are depression, low self esteem, and fear among children. Depression and low self-esteem almost go hand in hand. Social intimidation can lead any child to be depressed. When you are constantly the target of a bully it is inevitable. Depression can lead to several thins such as bad grades, wanting to miss school, and lose of interest in anything.
