This county was named after Benjamin Franklin in 1883 and consists of 795,000 acres. As of 2012 census, Franklin County’s population was 89,845. From 2000 to 2010, this county changed its ranking from number fourth to the highest ranking county for growth for population (Franklin County, Washington, n.d.). In Pasco, there are approximately 52 crimes per square mile while the state has an average of 57 crimes per square mile (City-Data.com, 2012). Most people in this city say that they feel safe in their community and rarely notice any crimes take place. Due to the close proximity of the “Tri-cities” (Pasco, Richland, Kennewick), residents of Pasco are well covered for all their health care needs. Each of these cities has a hospital that are all within 20 minutes of each other. They consist of Lourdes Medical Center (Pasco), Kennewick General Hospital (Kennewick), and Kadlec Regional Medical Center (Richland). Kadlec is the largest hospital and is the only not for profit hospital in the area. It has partnered with many of the smaller communities in the area to bring up to date healthcare to the smaller hospitals. This hospital invests in advanced technology to provide excellent care and offers services such as; inpatient cancer center, rehabilitation center, trauma services. I added more lines to the ones I feel are more bonded to. My friends are all my family and loved ones that are an important part of my community. They are what keep my grounded and offer me unconditional support when needed most. The hospital is my passion. It is where I work and am able to help people through whatever crisis the encounter. It is a key component to our community that has many resources to many different people. The school is an excellent opportunity to receive more education for my peers and myself. We are blessed to have to have a university and community college in our community that allows everyone access to education.
