Dear: National Junior Honor Society Committee I currently represent the “Character” Trait of NJHS by being honest to others and very workable with my fellow peers. Many people rely on me as a very good person to come to in a great time of need. I deeply care for my family and other people. I also listen to others ideas to help improve their idea or to help make it a reality. I will use all of these characteristics to help this organization reach out to people in need.
The personnel come from different ethnicity and background and speak more than 50 languages, which gives VNSNY the ability to provide a clinician who speaks patient’s preferred language and understands his religious and cultural traditions. The clinicians are highly trained medical experts with years of experience and are experts in their specific fields. The nurses average 13 years of experience, which is more than any other home health care organization in New York. * Use of technology, of Mobile technology in particular: VNSNY has a competitive advantage in this field in comparison to its competitors. It has developed a unique Service Delivery Model (SDM) that reduces service costs, enhances clinical quality and outcomes, and improves patient and staff satisfaction.

Most centers also treat fractures, can provide IV fluids, and have x-ray and lab processing on site. They are typically staffed with physicians, and may have physician assistants, nurses, nurse practitioners, medical assistants and radiology technicians working with patients (ucaoa). Urgent care centers are usually located in freestanding buildings, and the majority of centers are independently owned by physicians or groups of physicians. About 25 percent are owned by a hospital system and most of those are located off the main hospital campus. The initial urgent care centers opened in the 1970’s.
Shouldice Hospital Limited Group Case Study Feb. 14th, 2012 Brief Synopsis In 1982 Shouldice hospital comprised of 89 beds and performed 6,850 hernia operations while being staffed by 12 full time surgeons, 7 assistant surgeons, an anesthesiologist and 30 nurses in addition to support staff. The Shouldice hospital employed unique surgical techniques and post operation routines which led to a speedier recovery and a lower than average hernia reoccurrence rate. The hospital had gained a reputation for providing a quality service and relied mostly on word of mouth marketing. Many of their patients were from Ontario (56%) and the US (42%) with a smaller percentage (2%) travelling from Europe or other provinces in Canada. Shouldice performed two types of hernia operations which they classified as primary (first time occurrences) and secondary (reoccurrences or repairs).
We also, could not do our job without the fantastic input from the many voluntary organisations working within the hospital such as multi faith leaders and support groups. It is important that all of these individuals work closely together to provide an holistic approach to the care the patients need and receive. You should strive to be courteous and trustworthy ensuring that you are able to give excellent verbal and written instructions and able to follow these instructions as prompted by others where your skill set allows. Showing the necessary willingness to continually improve your skill level is also paramount. 1.
For each decade since 1961, the population has increased by more than 250,000. In 2013, the city was home to 4.8 million, and it is expected to grow to between 8 and 8.5million by 2061. Between 2001-2010, Sydney grew 447,000, 10.8%. Although Sydney is Australia’s most populated city, if Melbourne continues to grow at its current rate, by 2053, Melbourne will be Australia’s most populous city with less than 8 million residents. Although Sydney’s large growth rate is positively affecting its advanced market economy, there are many impacts affecting the issue.
People trust and depend on nurses, and I will have the ability to win their trust and become their healer. My main focus will be caring for people, I agree with Nightingale’s theory of nursing; she focused on caring and helping people coping with their environment and situation (Potter, Perry, Stockert, & Hall, 2011, p. 44). Also, I highly agree with Peplau’s theory, this theory emphasizes the importance of patient and nurse interpersonal relationship and determines its importance for caring patient (Potter et al., 2011, p. 44). These two theory guides me to achieve my values and belief towards nursing which are altruism which is a act of selfless care and developing strong bond between my patient and me helps my patients become dependable and make me accountable and responsible towards them. My definition of nursing has not changed; it is basically caring for people and being able to connect
Nursing to me means to provide the best care possible to every patient you encounter on an everyday basis. A nurse must give tender loving care from his/her heart to each and every single patient. The second component of nursing practice is a patient. Patients are the priority for nurses. If it wasn’t for patients nursing would not come to exist.
I always receive good feedback from the families for my best nursing care that the patient receive during hospitalization. Other strength of mine is to keep my education ongoing during my career. I know that further education lets me bring the best performance in the staff and patients care. However one of my weakness is that when the patient died under my attention, I usually think that maybe I was not very cautious to save their lives and I feel that they needed more
