The Importance of Enforcing Uniforms in Schools Enforcing uniforms in school could prevent gang violence from happening in the schools. If students are not in uniforms and they wear the wrong colors to school they can get shot at because a gang member might mistakenly think they’re in a rival gang. It can also help reduce how gang members identify themselves. School uniforms would help reduce crime and violence on the school property. School violence in all is harmful forms that has potentially serious short and long term affects on the individual student, the school as a whole, and the society.
Requiring students to wear a school uniform levels the playing field by reducing the implied class status that is created when only certain students can buy the most expensive clothes. Not only is teasing decreased, but violence can also be prevented at schools that have a required uniform. Gang violence is becoming more prevalent at schools around the country. Sometimes fights can start over someone wearing the "wrong color" or gang symbol. There have even been instances of gang members sneaking into schools to recruit or harass students.
Unfortunately it seems there is more our society can do to help prevent this trend. Drugs are a growing problem with teenagers in our society because parents and the community do not provide enough drug education. Conclusion This trend is in a spiral whirlwind out of control within our youth in society. There are so many educational plans and information to educate the students, parents, school administrators and society as a whole. With the danger explained in detail to teenagers and also teaching how to stand up to peer pressure, this will provide extra assurance and confidence within the teenagers to stand up for their belief in not participating in drugs.
Did you know that teens are more vulnerable than anyone to drug abuse? With teenagers their brains and bodies are still developing. When teenagers get addicted to drugs it can have long term effects that affect their judgments and the decisions they are going to make. Drugs can result in poor performance and learning in school, and sports activities. Ways to prevent drug problems from becoming an issue in schools is to hold random drug testing for students that want to participate in sports or school activities.
Approximately Approx40% to 80% of the school-age children experience bullying during their academic career, but only 20% to 40% of bullied people report incidents. Parents and educators have difficulty in understanding how serious the situation is for students who experience bullying because reporting is too low. The role of parents and educators is to identify behavioral changes or a decrease in grade performance. Even if a student does not report a bullying situation, these signals often indicate that something is going wrong. People who experienced bullying situations during their youth still feel the effects of the intimidation received when they were young.
Likewise the numbers of students that use cell phones to cheat on tests; distract and escape classes are just a few. Therefore there’s no reason for others to pay the price for those who make the mistakes. The teacher shall confiscate one’s cell phone if he or she has done the following things. This will then make the students feel that they’ve received fair treatment. Another reason cell phones should be allowed in school is because students are old enough to know what can be done and what cannot be done.
The difference between being bullied over the internet and being bullied in school is that people are watching when it is at school, whether it’s out on recess or at lunch. Bullying online is easier to go undetected usually because being bullied on the internet is only witnessed by the victim. However, sometimes it is shared through different media sites just to humiliate the victim in front of their peers at school, or worse the community they live in. According to “Cyberbullying prevention and response” on how school counselors can help, they said that cyber bullying these days seems to be more nefarious than “offline bullying” due to the fact that attacks are more intense, frequent, unsuspecting, and very difficult to stop. Compared to conventional or traditional bullying, cyber bullies are not restrained at all with time, space and pace.
On one side of the debate, there are those who believe that the ability to carry guns on campus provides certain benefits. One of the main arguments includes the deterrence of crimes that are committed on campus. The school shooting tragedies that have occurred in recent years are often used to build support for this stance. Supporters of guns on campuses say that these situations could have had less bloodshed if students and faculty were allowed to carry concealed weapons that they have permits to carry elsewhere. It is also argued by supported that other crimes could be deterred and students and faculty alike would be able to protect themselves from these dangers and feel safe.
Reading various news articles about teenagers here in America it seems that more and more times teenagers have fights that led to murder more often than not. I think schools, in every degree should pay attention and educate more Americans on the subject, and try to help decrease the manner that people will regret what they have done after they have done something bad. Parents as a rule don’t want their child to be aggressive, and careless. A good role model is one of the important things adults can do to help develop good teenage behavior. To form a good behavior for teen, parents should perceive what or whom their kids admire and whether it’s in his/her better interest, or
Next, when children grow up the responsibility of socialization will pass to teachers. Teachers should provide a good source of knowledge about illicit drug to student and also tell the student how to avoid it. However, teacher should not streaming children by label them in the different class depending on their grade or behavior because when low grade student stay together they will form their own peer group which's can be anti school peer group. According to the sociologist, teachers will not concentrate on low grade student class but teachers will have more concentration on student in top class because top class student provide more satisfaction so those low grade student will getting worse. If anti school peer group have been formed student within the group may lead their peer to illicit drug or others bad behavior.
