‘God bless us everyone!’ Dickens is giving the Christmas image which is all about getting together and feasting. Even know the Cratchits were poor, Scrooge saw how happy and thankful the Cratchits are to be together while in contrast Scrooge is very wealthy, yet he is miserable and alone. Ghost of Christmas present told Scrooge if these shadows are unaltered by the future Tiny Tim will die. Scrooge feels guilt and regret about stating that people should just die and decrease the surplus population earlier to the business man. A ghost of Christmas present then took Scrooge to Scrooge’s nephews Christmas dinner and even know Scrooge doesn’t treat his nephew kindly, Scrooge saw how his nephew feels sorry for Scrooge and that Scrooge’s nephew has the decency to raise a tost to Scrooge at the Christmas

A Christmas movie serves as a soundtrack while the tree is twinkling and sparkling in the background. I love making the same traditional Christmas cookies that I have made forever (Pizzelles and Spritz) with people I love.. The Sarasota Crew boys also won their heats in the second varsity eight and the boys single and double. In the finals, the Sarasota Crew will have eight boys and four girls teams. IF OUR RESIDENTS SEE SOMETHING THAT LOOKS WRONG, WE WOULD APPRECIATE THEM CALLING 311.
For example of page 74, it quotes that Daisy receives ‘a string on pearls’ the day before her wedding to Tom but also on the same say she also get a letter from her former lover Gatsby, gets drunk after reading it and has a moment where she hesitates about marrying Tom but after she sobers up she ‘squeezed it up in a wet ball……And walked out of the room, the pearls around her neck and the incident was over’ as it also quotes on pages 74 and 75. This shows that she just wasn’t to forget about Gatsby and marry Tom for they money because of the fact that she puts the pearls around her neck, continues to marry Tom even
Dickens also writes how Scrooge treated his Nephew Fred, badly, his nephew and only living relative is a very cheerful man who loves Christmas. He wishes his Uncle a Merry Christmas Scrooge replies ‘bah humbug’. "Why did you get married?" said Scrooge. "Because I fell in love."
The Hero! My customer service hero is Jan at Wal-Mart in Woodburn. It was my youngest son’s first birthday and I made the mistake of going in last minute, two hours before the party, to pick out a cake. I had already been to the Wal-Mart in Salem and they had minimal options of cupcakes. So I chose to chance going into Woodburn without a cake and try the Wal-Mart there.
Dickens uses Bob’s eldest daughter Martha, to represent child labour, “we had a deal of work to clear away...”, and Tiny Tim to represent the lack of help those who are sick & poor receive. (Why does he use these characters? Why represent them?) Despite this, the Cratchit family’s goodness shines through, and are “happy, grateful, pleased with one another, and contented with the time”. Bob Cratchit represented the opposite of Scrooge’s morals, and embodies the invaluable qualities that Dickens admired – strength, humbleness, hope & perseverance.
You are on a level above everyone else, and by association, everyone around you has to come to your level. It means that you are among the best in everything that you do, and you stay focused, resourceful, knowing what it takes to succeed and will do whatever it takes to gain that
Gatsby was recently back from Europe, and had nothing but the clothes on his back when he met a man named Mr. Wolfshiem who offered him lunch and a career selling bonds. This was the beginning of Gatsby’s climb to his high social status from the slums of New York, a very dramatic shift, and to being on par with Daisy, the woman he loves. Janie’s social change was attributed to Jody dying and Janie being left a widow. At this time she was wealthy, but alone, then one day she met a young man named Vergible Woods, though he goes by Tea Cake throughout the story, who was shopping in her store and they fell in love. Their relationship was looked down upon by many townsfolk, and so to get away from their scrutinizing eyes, they ran away to a new town to get married.
