Jeddah is the second largest city of Saudi Arabia and is located on the coast of the Red Sea. Jeddah is visited every year by thousands of people because it´s the gateway to Mekkah. Jeddah has a lot of beautiful sights, and to make your last day unforgetble during your vacation in jeddah,there are three places in jeddah to visit ,such as, the beautiful view of jeddah fountain,the street markets in Balad and the oldest gate in Jeddah, Makkah gate. The first one is King Fahd´s Fountain, also known as Jeddah Fountain. This is the biggest salt water fountain of the world; it jets the water about 312 meters above the Red Sea. The fountain has been given as a present by King Fahd to the city Jeddah. The best time to visit the fountain is at dawn or during nighttime. From Jeddah´s Corniche you will enjoy wonderful views as the fountain is lighted with 500 spotlights and it dominates Jeddah´s skyline, so you can not miss it. The next spot is Balad.The shopping area of Balad is one of the major sightseeing as well as a shopper's paradise. Balad has a number of shopping malls with branded products from Milan and Paris. It also consists of the traditional street markets. Balad is a marvelous blend of the modern high-rise buildings with the historical buildings. Biet Nassif was the house of the Nassif family way back in the 1870's. The building has been restores and given the shape of a cultural center. The third place to see is the Makkah Gate, this is one of the oldest ones in Saudi Arabia. The gate serves as one of the main entrances for Hajj pilgrims. During this period it will be a busy place as many people from all over the world come to see it. Out of all Jeddah´s sights the Makkah Gate is the most prominent one.
