Some people say that the movie Pineapple Express seems to be along the lines of teenage humor or just mere immaturity. I on the other hand, I believe otherwise. When you take a look at all the drugs portrayed in the film (mainly marijuana) it reflects on a vast group of people in today’s general population. When I say that, I mean you do not see a movie based on people getting raped because it is not accepted in society or by the law. The film was viewed by many because in the days we live in now, drugs are becoming more and more socially accepted by the public in general, as shown in how many people enjoyed the movie. On a different note in the movie, the music played in the movie is very appealing to me, it was very thought out on how the song would be placed in the moment to add the extra “hype” to the movie. Such as in the beginning of the film, to me, I feel like Electric Avenue was very well placed while Dale Denton (Seth Rogen) rode in his vehicle down the street. Pineapple Express by no means was an under budgeted film. When you take a look at all the effects that the movie had you can see that no money was wasted in any special effects such as a man being shot in the head, another person being shot in the stomach twice, gun fights, and etcetera. In some films you can notice that the camera and the different angles it uses are poorly chosen and used but yet you see no sign of that in this one. While everything to me leads to an “A+” rating I would also like to add the phenomenal acting that was done by all the characters. Whether they were really as unintelligent sounding as they were or not the performance of all the actors seemed to really help everything connect and go smoothly in the directing of the
