Zexi Ren Jarred Wiehe ENGL 1011-020 July 24, 2013 Marty the "Loser" Stoners are always seen as losers in life, as well as in movies. They cannot survive in the world because they do not fit in the society. Also the society see stoners as the odd ones, and the government shows no mercy on them as well. However, in Drew Goddard's horror movie The Cabin in the Woods, unlike in some commercials where stoners are seen as losers, Marty, the stoner, defies this stereotypical perception by surviving until the end of the world. He is not a loser at all.
Both honest mistakes that he didn’t even know he made. The ignorance shown towards Lennie in the novel was due to the time period and the people’s lack of knowledge. People in the story like “The boss” just thought that Lennie wasn’t smart because he just didn’t talk much unless it was to his best friend George. There was ignorance in Raymond because his brother thought that he could remove Ray from his schedules at his home and take him with him. The Ignorance was that Ray needed those schedules or he will have a fit.
Nikola Tesla is not a well-known inventor because he, wasn’t focused on getting recognition, Thomas Edison pushed Nikola’s inventions out of the lime light., his inventions weren’t profitable or practical for the time and he also suffered from mental disorders. Nikola Tesla spent more hours in his lab alone than he did getting funding for his laboratory. As Margaret Cheney states in on of her novels about Nikola Tesla, Master of lightning, he threw parties at his house but he would often leave mid-celebration to sneak into the laboratory(126). This reclusive behavior was tied to Tesla’s incessant drive to invent and create. In another one of Margaret Cheney’s novels, Man out of Time, She explains that his schedule often gave the impression that there was more than one of him.
