I also not proud of the foods, I’ve been consuming and I know I will definitely have to make some changes. My diet didn’t really compare too much to the Food Guide Pyramid. From the looks of it, I’m consuming under the target daily amounts for mostly everything. For some I’m consuming too much and for others I’m not consuming enough. From each food group, my servings were: Grains the target amount was six ounces and I only consumed three.
The fat I consumed on day one was 28% I should consume no more than 35%, I am within the acceptable range. Day two of using the I-profile I was within the acceptable range of lipids, proteins and carbohydrates. My protein was a bit low so I should have eaten more chicken or turkey on this particular day. The third day was the same, I did not eat any breakfast and my protein is 15% the normal range is 10-35%, I should have consumed more meat. I was not surprised by my daily intake of protein because some days I eat lots of meat, and some days I do not eat meat at all or just a small portion of meat.
I am currently on a diet plan because I just recently had a baby. I have started this plan about two weeks ago and it has been effective for since I have lost six pounds. My plan consist of not consuming more than 2,000 calories a day and replacing one meal for a protein shake for breakfast every morning. For lunch, I may have a cup of fruit, Greek yogurt, and/or a plain turkey sandwich. For dinner, I mainly consume fish, maybe salmon but never fried, mixed vegetables, and boiled eggs.
Most orphanages do not have a lot of meal choices so I would be eating this meal a lot and you might think that this would get tiresome, but for me it never did. I don’t really know why but I guess it is the ingredients. Plus it was better than eating just soup, which was our normal meal. When I got adopted, I thought I would never have this great meal again. When my new mom made this meal one St. Patrick’s Day, I was in shock.
I really tried to make things different during my second week of analysis, and they were a little different than they were in the first week, but there were still a lot of things that needed improvement. I managed to keep my saturated fat under the normal percentage. My percentage was 8.6% and the normal is 10% for my diet. I also drank a lot more milk this week so that I could reach the recommended goal of 3 cups. I had a hard time drinking just plain milk, so I put some chocolate syrup in it and that made it much better but a lot less healthy.
They have subs everyday that you have choices between ham, turkey, and salami for meat, but occasionally they have roast beef. For bread you have the options of sub, wrap, or whole wheat sub. Then you can put a variety of toppings on including lettuce, banana peppers, cucumbers,
The tracker suggested that I ate way too much meat saturated with fat and high in calories. I saw that I had a little intake of vegetables. I knew that the veggie intake would be low since I really cannot eat green leaves, corn, or even whole grain ever since I had colon surgery. What I did notice to be a big problem was even though I worked out during the week I was still consuming way too many calories in one day. My recommendations looked to be very simple to achieve until I notice that I needed to eat 9 ounces of grains daily.
On those days, I sometimes drink Ensure to and take vitamins to make up for the nutrients I did not intake throughout the day. My diet does not compare to the recommendations of the Food Guide Pyramid for there’s nothing really to compare. My equivalent for 2 days is 2.4 for the first day, I did not eat. Only servings I had from either food group was 1 serving of milk, 5.1 cup vegetables, 0 fruit, 0.5 milk, and 2.1, meat and beans. I could modify my diet only if I quit working, seriously.
Our family has been healthy, the girls received their flu shot a couple of weeks ago and other than seasonal allergies we have little to complain about. What are some things you do to stay healthy? The main goal for our family is to try and eat healthy, it’s tempting to buy take out a few times a week; but we usually settle for a rotisserie chicken and salad or make your own sandwiches night. o Nutritional – Metabolic Pattern: Describe a typical day of food intake for yourself. 1 Wow. After doing this 3-day nutrition assessment that is all I have to say. I actually thought I was a nutritious person, but I can see now that I really am not. In “My Plate” I fell really short in the vegetables, fruits, and dairy daily intake. I took in only 23% of the recommended vegetables, which actually really surprises me because, recently, I have been switching out my snack of choice for carrots, so I thought that would have been beneficial to me for this assignment; it doesn’t look like that was the case.
