Prior to this I had a regular childhood with two working parents and wonderful grandparents. Since at that time I was only child I got loads of attention which included plenty of talks in regards to what’s right and wrong. Both my parents and grandparents had the idea that education is really important. That was installed in me from very early on. Few months before war started I was blessed with a little baby sister.
Senior Year It was the fall of 1984; I was a senior in high school, this wasn’t a new school for me, I had attended this school for the last three years. Getting to school that morning proved to be very exciting, entering the doors at Hanau American High, this was going to be my last first day of school there. Mead said in her book, Blackberry Winter, that her family moved four times a year. When the family returned to Philadelphia in 1991, Bryant joined the Lower Merion high school basketball team, leading it to the state championships four years in a row. When Joe Bryant's professional career ended in 1991, the family returned to the United States and settled in a comfortable home on the Main Line, the most prestigious of Philadelphia's suburban areas. Basketball helped bridge the gap between Bryant and his classmates at Lower Merion High. Tall and skilled, Bryant quickly became a starter for the varsity team and just as quickly began to make a name for himself in greater Philadelphia. Not surprisingly, Bryant was offered scholarships to almost every major college and university in the country.

I have filled my scrapbook with great memories made with my Carolina Academy family. The Carolina academy has positively affected my life and allowed me to thrive.
We had finally completed high school and were ready to move on to the next step in our life: college. The moment the head master of my school had announced us as the graduating class of 2011, we all tossed our caps into the air and we were happier than ever. As soon as we paraded out of the ceremony, sadness began to emerge. We were saddened because most of us were moving on to different colleges and we were not going to be able to enjoy each other’s company everyday like we did in high school. Although many people have told me that the best times of your life are spent in college, I knew I would still miss my friends from high school as we moved on to the next chapter in our lives.
