9-14-13 First Year There are many momentous moments in a young person’s life. Most teenagers look forward to getting their license, first car, first date, and more importantly graduating high school. Each and every one of these moments will impact an individual in a different way, whether it be for better or for worse. Many students upon graduating high school don’t know what to expect. Entering college can be one of the scariest, yet liberating experiences of a young adult’s life.
I can’t really remember how I felt towards the end of that school year, but one thing I know for sure is I couldn’t wait to take on high school with all my childhood classmates by my side. I walked through the doors of Happy Mountain High School not knowing what to expect, but I was prepared to have an amazing time in the years to come. During my high school career, I have met so many people who I know I can rely on. If there is one thing I know I will carry with me for the rest of my life, it is that having friends by your side will help you make the best of any situation you are going through. In my years in high school, I have realized I enjoy many things that I never knew I would, such as; running track, participating in school events, and working hard in all my
ENGL 1101 24 September 2012 Graduation Day Graduation is one of the few times where others not only share in your excitement, but can aso be even more overwhelmed for your "big day”. Graduation is a ceremony used to celebrate the moving forward after working hard in one arena in preparation for your future. It is the only time I can think of where a student may quench the thirst of closure in one endeavor and the start of another all in the same breathe. Although we view graduation as a celebration, for me it seemed like a big fat eviction notice since I would no longer be living with my parents. You see for four years teachers, parents, even previous graduates spread the hype that on the day of graduation you will have the time of your life.
My eleventh grade year was also a disaster because of the struggle of passing my biology state test and I was really distracted and just wanted to go back to the alternative school but my mom and the principle would not send me back. My senior year I transferred to Christ Missionary and Industrial high school (college) the year flew by but I really enjoyed myself there. Now I am still here at CM&I , I supposed to be a summer graduate if everything goes as planned. Once I finish high school I plan on signing up for the air
North Farmington High School Turner Lotts 12/7/11 4th The reason I love being a student at North Farmington High School is because of the people that attend school. I used to go to Farmington High School my underclassmen years, then I transferred to North for my junior and senior year. There is a huge difference between the two high schools, and it’s unimaginable. The people at North are different then anyone in the world because, their acceptance of everyone, and the happiness students and staff radiate. North was probably one of the best schools I could have ever transferred to because there acceptance of everyone is outstanding.
The week of graduation I was both happy and sad. I did not understand what my best friends meant by that feeling until that week. I had the sense of happiness because I worked very hard to get my degree and to be the only one in my family to graduate from college was a huge accomplishment. However, sadness played a big part in that too because I did not want to enter the real world and special people that helped raise me over the years was not here to share this important day with me, but I knew they were there in spirit. All these emotions came over me all the way up until I walked across the
The class of 2018 is amazing, and we need to show the upperclassmen what we are made of. I would also like to get our class more involved in the fund raising process, because how much money we earn determines how amazing our junior prom will be. We can be the start of something extraordinary, and with the help of some leaders, we will blow away the seniors and the sophomore class will be who everyone looks up to. I want to be Sophomore Class President to help make your experience at Trenton Catholic Academy, completely unforgettable. Everyone always says “High School is the best years of your life.” And to me that sounds like a pretty big statement to live up to.
* Graduation Speech My fellow classmates, we only arrived here four short years ago, and now it's already time for us to depart; and we’re all wondering how long exactly where the time went. It seems like only yesterday that we were the bottom of our school trying to figure out where our next class was, and looking generally clueless to all the upper classmen. Now we are the upperclassmen, the seniors who stand here ready to graduate and move forward in the world. We’re the ones telling freshman about the third floor. Yet at this seminal moment, we can't help looking back.
HIS/135 Week 4 1960 Diary Entry October 1, 1962 I am so excited, I am in enrolling for my classes at Ole Miss. Today. I am nervous, scared, and excited all at the same time as anyone would that was going off to college for the first time. I am going to be the first in my family to actually attend college and I am proud of myself, and my family is proud of me as well. I am determined to work hard and graduate maybe even with honors that I can sure that I am making a better life for myself as well as for my family.
To leave your country and go to another one is a big step to take. You are leaving behind family and friends that you have known for your whole life. There could be old people who die or new children born that you never get to see while you are gone. Your whole life you are used to having your friends that you are comfortable with and who understand you, but when you study in a new place, you do not have those friends to support you and you have to start over meeting new people. These problems can make it hard for international students to focus on their school when they are missing their friends and family.
