Michael Crespo Eng 201-600 Due: September 22, 2011 Narrative Essay Submitted: September 22, 20ll Graduation Graduation is a very special time in one's life, when graduates are faced with a variety of emotions. It is a wonderful time in life when friends and family are proud of your accomplishments, but it is also a very emotional time. As a graduate, I experienced a variety of emotions that I did not expect to feel. As graduation drew near, I was faced with the reality of what was about to occur in my life and all of the changes that I was going to experience. Feelings of happiness, sadness, fear and accomplishment suddenly began to emerge. I was overwhelmed by these unfamiliar emotions. The first feeling that my graduating class and I experienced was happiness. We were all so proud of ourselves. We had finally completed high school and were ready to move on to the next step in our life: college. The moment the head master of my school had announced us as the graduating class of 2011, we all tossed our caps into the air and we were happier than ever. As soon as we paraded out of the ceremony, sadness began to emerge. We were saddened because most of us were moving on to different colleges and we were not going to be able to enjoy each other’s company everyday like we did in high school. Although many people have told me that the best times of your life are spent in college, I knew I would still miss my friends from high school as we moved on to the next chapter in our lives. Having to move away from home for the first time was going to be the toughest part for me. I had never been away from home for a long period of time. I was suddenly overcome with fear. The feeling of fear began a couple of days after, as I started to think about my future. My biggest fear was the fact that I was moving far away from the town where I was born and raised in
