I wanted to be like Jennifer Lopez, Marc Anthony, and Ricky Martin; successful singers that are Puerto Rican as well. My plan was to be the first person in my family to get a college degree and I did; I have my Bachelor’s in Performing Arts from Juilliard. Soon after graduation, I met a special someone by the name of Vincent while working on Broadway for a play called West Side Story. Vincent was Italian and was curious about my culture and wanted to know if Puerto Ricans faced any consequences coming to New York. I explained to him that it was definitely a change but we were accepted.

It was 2008 when I began high school at Mission High School in San Francisco, California. My mom and I moved to San Francisco a year prior so we could be closer to my uncle, who was undergoing treatment for pancreatic cancer. The school year started out like any ordinary school year for a newcomer. I was the new kid who didn’t really know anyone. I wouldn’t say that it was depressing; it just took some time for me to get properly integrated into the student body.
Person Centered planning helps us do this by discovering and acting on what matters to a person. It gives us a structure to help us continually listen and learn about what is important to a person now and in the future and to act on this in alliance with friends and family. It requires a

Now I can’t believe she didn’t cry more. Then she went to the hospital for a long time for various surgeries, and plans on what to do next. My brother and I stayed at my Grandpa’s house most of the time she was up there mostly only going home to sleep and get ready for school the next day, it was weird and confusing but my grandpa was good at getting our minds off of things and keeping our spirits up when he needed to.
It will bring positive change into my life and transform me as an individual to a more positive, energetic and dynamic organized person. Understanding and accepting personal responsibility is the key to success. When an individual takes personal responsibility for their actions, it can help clarify which life goals are most important and the means to achieve college success by also understanding that our values support how we go about making decisions. (Binney, Daniel 2009) states that the ultimate goal of this understanding is to promote what he believes to be the three key aspects of personal responsibility, fairness, autonomy and human flourishing and conditions are most useful for allowing us to exercise it. It is reasonable to think that responsibility is encouraged where rewards and punishments are proportionate to actions, where we can freely act within our capabilities and capacity, and where we allow existing without unnecessary hardship or coercion.
