Mavis Rojas I can remember as if it was yesterday my twelve year old birthday. We had just moved to Vina del Mar, a beautiful city by the Pacific Ocean. My father bought me a red dress, he always knew what looked good on me. I loved spending time with him, he knew I was a growing fast and although I was a pretty confident girl, he made sure to assure me of his love and his acceptance towards me. I remember my father taking me to go for hikes up in the mountains and taking me rock climbing on his days off. We used to have long and serious talks during our adventures in natures. He would talked to me about the importance of prioritizing in life, he would say to remember that God should always be my top priority and that everything else would later on come into place. I became good friends with all of them and my friendship with them was somewhat more consistent, because of the amount of time we spent together. I travel very much because my father worked for Global Mission therefore many of my friendships were superficial, because I didn’t have the chance to make them deeper. Although I had a couple of Missionary Kids and Pastor Kids were my friends through out the years in a more consistent way. My best friend besides Liz was Constanza, a chilean girl who was not adventist and it was interesting because regardless of our different upbringings, we were both artist and our heart connected in that aspect. I believe she definitely had influence in me, we were both extroverts and influencers therefore I believe the influence that we had on one another was strong. I used to talk to her about God and invite her to church with me, little by little our conversations became more spiritual and she got to know Jesus at a deeper level, later on she got
