My name is Josh Porter. I am a 13 year old boy who lives with my family in the city of concord. We don’t have a very big family. I live with my mom, my dad, and my two younger sisters. Everything was normal until that one day. It was the day I never wanted to come. I remember it very clearly. The day Paul Revere came to our door knocking. He said that the British were on their way. Everybody in the house started preparing. My dad was probably the least worried person in the house. He was prepared to fight them off when they came, and they did. After that day my dad fought in many of the battles. I thought he could never lose, until the man showed up at our door. He said my father had lost his life in battle. for the next few weeks i didn't know what to do, what to say. then i finally decided what i must do. i must sneak into the war and finish the job. so when night arose i snuck out of the house and took are only horse. i rode as far as i could till i reached suffolk county where soldiers were preparing for battle. i snuck into the place where the soldiers got…show more content…
There was no sign of life anywhere. I ran straight to the rubble. I looked but could not find anything. But then lying on the ground was my sister’s necklace, still in one piece. I picked up the necklace and put it in my pocket. It was the only thing I had left of my family. As I was headed back to the camp I heard a cry for help. I rode my horse straight to the site. There was a house on fire with a old man stuck on the second floor. I took my musket and against the door to break it open. I found the stairs and ran up them. I found the old man, grabbed him, and carried him towards the door. as i got him out the door he tried to get back inside. i need to find my ring, i need it. so i ran inside to grab the man’s ring. i found it laying on his chester drawers. i stuck my head out the window and threw it to him. as he grabbed the ring the floor collapsed under
