Patriots and prophets Chapter 1- Why was sin permitted? When God made the heaven and all the other worlds, it was made in love and perfection. Gods aim was for the angels and all that he had created to simply worship him in honor and love. At that that time there was no hate, no envy, no lust-there was no sin in heaven or the world. However, although god can foresee all that is, was and will be, he still gave the angels freedom of choice. This freedom was not given as a reason to rebel or to create corrupt thoughts. It was to show how God love them that he did not want them worship him like robots. Their love and adoration for God was to be a willing love not a commanded one. This confusion has to do with the battle between Satan and God and how he deceived people while on earth. Satan’s sole purpose in life was to deceive everyone and have them come over to his side of evil. Satan wanted men to think that he was the victim from the beginning and that God was the evil one to him and to us all. He further wanted us to think that God was the one who was trying to deceive us from the beginning. However, on the day of the great controversy all was revealed that Satan was the true deceiver and God was indeed to be worshipped. On that final day Satan persistent as he has always been he tries to still rally a final assault against God and the saints who accepted him. Even when Satan gathers all the wicked who where powerful in battle (before their death) he still cannot defeat God and his army. When God appears from the holy city he wipes out who are with Satan with a holy fire from heaven. After the second death the earth is destroyed free of all sin and then lord replenishes the earth and it becomes the New Jerusalem. In this New Jerusalem the saints will live forever with God and be totally free from sin. So sin exist no more in the world and Satan and his followers are destroyed because of their wicked
