Keeping a clear mind and knowing how to deal with worldly challenges is your intellectual health. My intellect is clear and it helps me overcome obstacles but sometimes I can become unclear and go off the wrong path. For example, if I was planning an activity which involved the use of bikes in the play area outside my setting, I would firstly ensure that the equipment; i.e. Bikes are in safe and good working condition. Secondly I would make sure that the bikes are used in the proper manner and with plenty of space, so that means that they cannot be used indoors in my setting as there is not enough space they would have to be used outside. I would also ensure that the main gates to my setting are closed properly so that no child or young person could wonder out without my knowledge.
