You see your co-worker stealing; do you keep quiet or advice him against it? I know you will not report it so if I view the camera and saw what happened, you automatically become a part of it and I will report you to the police as well. I am strongly against stealing. It isn’t a right thing to do and if I were to see my co-worker stealing, I would talk him out and ask him to put it back or else I would just report it to you. 10.
Surveillance helps store owners determine if their employees or customers are stealing from them, it helps homeowners manage their property and know if their family is in danger, and it helps corporate buildings manage the large number of people who walk in and out of the building. In these cases, surveillance helps these people manage their properties but there are situations in which surveillance may be inappropriate. For example, placing surveillance cameras in fitting rooms of clothing stores is unethical because it is an invasion of people’s privacy. People disrobe in the fitting rooms and it is not allowed for cameras to record in these
However the real cause of shoplifting goes beyond this. Although it is true that getting something for nothing can be exciting and materialistically rewarding, that is not the number one reason given by juveniles for their actions. According to the City Of Orange Police Department Youth Services Bureau, many juveniles steal because of peer pressure and external influences. According to a survey conducted by
Society would be a safer place if security cameras were placed in public areas to oversee peoples potentially illegal behavior. Cameras are used all over the world by companies to watch for illegal behavior to prevent theft and other threatening crimes commonly seen stores. They are even used in school hallways and buses to watch students behavior on school property. However, cameras are not used enough for monitoring peoples behavior. Many crimes occur without video evidence to help ensure that the crime does not go unpunished.
Tourists normally look down on panhandlers because they do not like to be harassed while they are on vacation. If they follow laws for aggressive panhandling such as staying away from ATM’s, not panhandling at night, block a passer-by’s walk way or verbally threaten a person for not giving them any money, then there would be less concerns on panhandling. Therefore, if a panhandler is minding their own business and not bothering anyone, police shouldn’t be harassing them for trying to raise money they need to survive. I believe it does violate their First Amendment Rights and it should not be banned. The local police should not be focused on arresting people not causing any harm; they should be more focused on arresting the people committing more serious
When a citizen goes into a store to purchase a firearm they are instructed to fill out a form that is used to perform a background check through the ATF. This would be today’s form of trying to keep firearms out of the hands of untrustworthy citizens or criminals if you will. Sadly a criminal with a record will not go into a store to purchase firearms. He or she will either steal the firearm from a person or buy it illegally in the streets. ATF background checks will not prevent a criminal from owning a firearm.
Do they think that the criminals are going to give up their firearms just because it’s “illegal” to possess them? If current gun control laws put forth by this administration were enacted, law abiding citizens would be the only unarmed population in this country. This would work out well for the criminals who want to take our wallet of rob your home. We as a people need to stand up and let our politicians know that we are more protected when we are allowed to protect ourselves. If the aim of our government is to protect our schools, then why not post an armed serviceman at ever school.
Thus, the illegal immigrants should be punished through deporting back to their native country if within the period of time the they are here, they have just being slack off or breaking the laws such as stealing, etc. Then, they have no reason to say that the US didn’t give them the chance to be its resident, but it’s just their own fault. Illegal immigration should be eliminated, but the immigrants themselves should be treated with more understanding, instead of negative reactions. If every country is great as US (a free country), then the issue would not even come up. Freedom is always something that everyone want to have, some have it, some do not.
Some people believe that if no one had guns there would be no crime however, criminals will still find ways to get guns and this will leave everyone else unarmed and vulnerable. The complete banning of guns would not solve the issue of violent crimes it would only remove guns from the hands of individuals who need them for protection. I believe we do need gun control laws in America but not to the extent of banning guns altogether. America needs to concentrate more on ways to keep guns out of the hands of criminals instead of taking them away from the ones that need
During these raids employees are forced to show their credentials and documentation, any unable to do so are slated for deportation. (“Immigration: In the Vanguard”, 1999, p. 31) More recently, the INS has adopted another approach. Rather than periodically physically raiding places of employment they regularly and consistently check employment records and compare them to federal databases. This approach provides on-going monitoring at less cost then the previous program of periodic raids. (“Immigration: In the Vanguard”, 1999, p. 32) In simplest terms illegal aliens are illegal and like any crime their presence must be controlled.
