Online Shopping vs. Store Shopping When comparing two different ways of shopping most people do both and not think to even realize it. I compared going into a store verses online shopping; to see which one will save you time, money and confusion. In today’s society people shop while at work, after work and on the weekends, whenever time permits. Did you ever stop and think how can I get more time in the day for family or just myself? The best way to figure out with all the resources we have; still most of us go into a store and spend time looking through racks and waiting in forever ending lines to just purchase something. There are many reasons for choosing to go into a store to purchase items needed. For instance, having someone assist you in finding what you need, or just answer questions about the product. It is also a way to get off of the couch, away from the television, or away from your family. Another trait is you can see and observe what you are going to purchase. This helps in the decision making for most people. You know the minute the salesperson ring you up the product are yours to take home and use right away. It also makes return on items simple to take it back to where you bought and get an exchange or a refund if needed. With purchasing online you have to wait 2 to 3 weeks, and then you have to worry about the size or the quality of the item. What they cannot do is try out products for fit, look, feel, appropriateness and ease of use before buying, or even benefit from the immediacy of collecting the item at time of purchase, which are the core benefits of buying in-store. Social interaction implies the opportunity to interact with a salesperson. Social position strongly influences individual preferences and tastes in popular culture.
