Online Education versus Traditional Education Michele Wheeler COM155 November 27.2011 Briana Flowers Online Education versus Traditional Education Though many think an online education is second-class, the determination, commitment, and self-motivation of an online student easily match that of a traditional student. To completely grasp the difference between online education versus traditional education, the following contains information of the pros and cons, of both forms of education that will include cost, convenience, scheduling, and the motivation of online and traditional college students, to name a few, so the people are aware that online is as important as traditional. Online education is growing at an extraordinary rate. More students are enrolling online than that of traditional schools. Online education has given people who found it difficult to attend traditional classes a better chance to achieve getting a higher education, then if they had tried to stay in traditional classes. Being an online student, you still get the same courses that are offered, if you were going to attend traditional classes and you achieve the same degrees. Being an online student myself, I found that attending online classes has given me the ability to further my education and be able to work at the same. If I had to attend traditional classes I would not be able to work and go to school at the same time. However, I also can appreciate the struggles of traditional students because my brother-in-law and two close friends are traditional college students. Being that in close circle are all college students, I recognize, appreciate and have knowledge of both worlds revolving around education, which is the reason I chose this topic so that I can share information from both points of view concerning online and traditional education.
