In their culture when a love one dies you’re expected to wail and cry to properly show your grief. His wife Enifa was screaming at first then she started grasping for her breath. Jeremiah's takes control of his father's business- uncle john brother first had the business then he said its custom for the firstborn son to inherit everything from his father, but it doesn’t always work that way. Jeremiah often helped on the farm as well. When Jeremiah took control he spent most of sea-son’s money in bars of Lilongwe and Kasungu. In November when it was time to hire people and buy some things he had little money left for that. Jeremiah disappeared owing eight head of cattle. The business collapsed their family was left to survive on their own. 3. Hunting and its important lessons- Mostly they hunted birds. They stored the birds in sugar bags. They would roast the birds. They would come home with eight birds to have quite a feast. After Geoffrey mother put breast milk into the boy eyes he was able to see again. Important lessons was how to find the best spots in the tall grass and along the shimmering dambo pools, how to outwit the birds with a strong, smart trap and that patience is the key.
