Sin has spread into the world since the earliest era of mankind’s history and can be accounted for in Genesis 3-11. Sin is defined by dictionary.com as “any act regarded as such a transgression, esp. a willful or deliberate violation of some religious or moral principle” (2009). Racial crimes across the United States have grown throughout the centuries. “Some of the founding racial crimes of the nation, extermination of the indigenous populations and slavery of Africans, are the nation’s “original sins,” which have theological as well as historical meaning that must be faced” (Hulteen, & Wallis, 1992). Hatred towards another race is a sin and should not be tolerated by anyone. God created every man and woman to be equal and there was no discrimination toward his creation, so people need to accept other’s differences and not be tempted by Satan to discriminate. In conclusion, the world is surrounded by evil and sin. Sin has been around since the creation era in mankind’s history and can be accounted by through the writings in Genesis 3-11. Sin is acting out the temptations that are bestowed upon you through Satan. So, how can an individual avoid sin and evil? One must resist temptation and follow these guidelines, “(1) pray for strength to resist, (2) run, sometimes literally, and (3) say no when confronted with what we know is wrong” (Gen 3:1-6).…show more content…
