Occupy Wall Street Movement By Dennis Yutuc BUS 309 Professor Abedin Occupy Wall Street, a movement in which they oppose the idea of government saving major banks and other financial institutions. The feeling that these institutions are taking money to better them and not their clients probably escalated due to the ethical financial unrest this country has gone thru and is slowly trying to get out of. Prior to this, personally, I have never heard of this movement here in the states. Seen news and Internet posts about them all over the world but never saw it here in this country. It may have been around, but was not a huge movement until all this business with Enron, Goldman Sachs, and others were scrutinized over their financial…show more content…
We can kind of see a little of the categorical imperative view that states “we should always act in such a way that we can will the maxim of our actions to become a universal law (Shaw, 2010).” Meaning they just want equal considerations on how much each class should be giving back to the government under taxes. The movement itself is portraying that they are doing the movement to gain some kind of relief from their construed struggles, when in fact not everyone is on the same page, and many of the protesters have a different view on how or why the movement should be. Provide a rationale with your response. I believe this movement will continue. The reasoning is, there are always going to be things or events that this organization is always going to try and provide, in their minds, services required by all. I mean, for example, occupywallst.org has a movement called Occupy Sandy ("Occupywallstreet," 2012). Where they are trying to find ways to get more relief and supplies to those affected by the recent super storm that hit the north east side of the country.
