North Carolina is a beautiful state with many great colleges and amazing people however, one of the biggest industries in the state has been having unprecedented effects that isn’t only destroying the ecosystem around the factory but the whole state .One of the biggest problems is the immense amounts of pollutants that are released from the enormous factories. But, this pollution isn’t in the form of gas or the regular pollution you would find in the city, but from the many chemicals and pig waste that is produced in the factory.Pig waste that the factories do not are thrown out into a huge holding pond that is filled with extremely gross chemicals and thousands of contaminated intestines, guts, and body parts that are covered with deadly bacteria and diseases. There has also been cases were people have died falling in to these disgusting pits. The pigs that are bred in these farms are being tortured ever since they stepped into this planets being confined together in a small space and have the potential of numerous diseases which are treated by many chemicals. Chemicals that are used to “wash” the pig to make the meat “more clean” can be deadly to a human and…show more content…
One suggestion is to reduce the number of pigs one factory can produce and kill. There are many companies with many factories out there that also have pig farms, so the long term effect of producing less pigs will not have a huge impact on America as a whole. Pigs that are well fed with healthy food will reduce their chances of getting diseases, leading to the less use of chemicals and more living space for the pigs will also help to reduce the spread of viruses and diseases within the
