Today there are many different scene designers, but to me Ming Cho Lee was one of the most important and interesting. Lee was born in China, and said to be one of the most influential American scene designers during the last four decades of the 20th century. In Lee’s early life, his mother provided him with the opportunity to study ink drawing and landscape painting with the watercolorist Change Kwo-Nyen. Lee like his father, was a member of Yale's class of 1919, and his uncle was a graduate in 1918. This young designer grew up in an environment where English was the predominant language.
Since a little kid he knew that he wanted to be an artist, so he left high school to attend the Arts Student League, where he learned the technical skills on which he applied all through his career. In 1916, when Rockwell was just 22, he painted his first cover for The Saturday Evening Post, a magazine that had another 321 covers created by Rockwell, including the Triple Self-Portrait. Created in 1960, The Triple Self-Portrait shows three different views of himself, three different sides of him, created after a long and hard process. The picture shows pencils on the floor, a trash full of drafts and smoke, and on the left corner of his canvas there are five little self-portraits in different positions; all these elements showing what a hard time he had to come up with the painting. At the right corner of the canvas, there are pictures of four of the greatest artists that created self-portraits in history: Durer, Rembrandt, Van Gogh, and Picasso.

Sam Morrison ART 220 11/6/13 Vladimir Kush Vladimir Kush, a Russia native, began his art career at a young age of seven, where he studied great artists of the Modern and Impressionism art movement, and also the Renaissance. Ten years later Kush entered the Moscow Higher Art and Craft School, also known as the Surikov Moscow Art Institute, the largest educational institution in Russia. However, a year later Kush was conscripted into the Soviet Army where after being noticed for his artistic and more peaceful side, was assigned for two years to painting propaganda murals. Four years later (1987), Kush began showing his art work with the USSR Union of Artists, which , as of January, 1976, included 14,538 members. He later returned to his alma mater, where he briefly taught; but he discovered he could make more money, and further progress his newly forming style, while painting portraits on the street.

Edmonia M. Lewis Edmonia Lewis born around July 4 year 1843-1845 and died September 17,1907 she was an African-American neoclassical and Native sculpture. Themes of freedom, famous Americans including abolitionist and sculptures that always showed freedom of either Native Americans or African-Americans where always depicted in her artwork. Most of her accomplishments and the greater part of her life was spent and lived in Rome. Edmonia Lewis mother was Native American and her father was Haitian which gives you the assumption that the people in her artwork maybe was influenced by her parents and daily life. Edmonia Lewis and her brother became orphaned at the age of ten.
