Bruce Murhead (Jazz, Classical and Rock Music Teacher) (UCT Music Graduate) I had Tshepo Puoane as a student when he began playing bass guitar for his high School jazz band in 2001. I had the task of preparing him for the band and ensemble playing as well as teaching him good music basics and a foundation for good bass playing. Have a short time to do this, with his immediate need to contribute to the school band, we had to progress quickly and deal with the pressure. As a student Tshepo was one of my best. He has a passion for the music and always pushed forward.

In the Rialto, California School District, students are being assigned to write an essay arguing whether the Holocaust actually happened or was invented to “influence public emotion and gain”. http://pamelageller.com/2014/05/california-school-district-defends-writing-assignment-confirming-denying-holocaust.html/ First of all, even Germany admits to the Holocaust and educates its younger generations about what happened-at least since the late 1960s when their younger generation started asking questions of their parents and demanding answers. Of course, that was in West Germany.
Joe Clark confronts several students giving them an ultimatum; to stay in school or commit suicide by various means. Right before the basic skills test, the test that determines if the school will be ran by a principal or the government, Clark gives a motivational speech. Near the end of the speech, the music teacher walks up on to the stage and starts to sing Bill Withers’ song, Lean On Me. The school gradually joins along, motivating the school to do their best on the test. An extremely diverse culture makes up East Side High.

During Bruce Springsteen concerts, he would express feelings about his family and the problems he endure during childhood. Basically he used memories from childhood and current issues to write his music. One of the best songs he ever wrote was “Born to Run”.
All of these findings are extremely conductive of how mandating school uniforms would greatly improve our student’s ability to improve their school experience. “In addition, with the visual uniformity present across all students, the instance of school pride has increased. Similar to athletic team uniforms, dressing cohesively increase pride, unity, and a renewed commitment to the school. Left Brain vs. Right Brain; Do the Hemispheres Matter Jasmine Bowles College 100 American Public University Professor Harvey Right Brain vs. Left Brain; Do the Hemispheres Matter In ninth grade I took an art class and I clearly remember my art teacher describing to the students that not everyone is good at art. I thought this was an odd thing to say to a class full of students who obviously had an interest in art on some level, but I continued to listen as he explained that some people are just more dominantly right brained than others. That is when I began to believe that the dominant side of our brain decided what I would ultimately be successful at. Many researchers have put a lot of time into figuring out what makes our brains tick.
“Walt’s drawings sometimes got him in trouble in school, he would rather doodle than complete his school work. He even carved his initials into his grade school desk.”5 In late 1919, Walt began his art career and returned to Kansas City where he had originally lived at the age of seven. Walt and his friend Ub Iwerks decided they wanted to further their love in art and started their own
