Facing My Fear At Six Flags The bus ride was blurry to me now. I couldn’t remember anything anyone said or did on the bus ride to six flags. The week before, when my 7th grade class was told about the surprise field trip, everyone was exited, even I was, until I had heard what everyone wanted to ride-the cyclone. I could go on roller coasters, but not the cyclone. It had too many twists and turns that made my heart skip a beat.
Paige Threadgill September 28,2012 Autobiographical Incident Six Flags Magic Mountain When I first got into the yellow school bus, I was terrified. Why? It’s because I didn’t know if I should be scared or not. You see, I’ve never been on a roller coaster, well, only one time when I went to the fair in Paso Robles, but that didn’t count for me. When the bus moved, I was saying to my youth pastor that this was my first time going to Six Flags Magic Mountain in Valencia, CA!
All of us were running out of the lobby and standing by the big trailer. The mountain was shaking and a giant cloud was forming above it. We were shocking of that and finding the filming equipment, shooting this great living footage. The earthquake didn’t last for long, but the cloud above the mountain was getting larger. All people in the hotel were getting out at this point, and the manager told the guests that probably was a volcano eruption.
This scene was probably the most time consuming, expensive and difficult scene. The reason for this being it was a cleverly crafted shadow puppet scene. In this a screen comes down Infrount of the stage so then the lights are able to create shadow figures With the cutouts of the highlands and the characters running across it. They were able to set the scene so we knew it was in Scotland by using the stereotypical Loch Ness monster which Hannay used to ride across the loch. Towards the end of the scene we saw the shadow of Hannay in a Plane being chased by the police because of Annabella's murder.
It was a moronic thing to not wear gloves out in this weather, especially this time of night. I suppose you’re wondering how my life turned out. Well to tell you the truth; it wasn’t all that bad after my mad days. My kid sister Phoebe told me I should tell my parents about my problems, god bless her. I knew that if they found out they would send me to one of those mental hospitals where they treat everyone like a madman.
C. One scene was when his girlfriend broke up with him and the other was when he brought the stripper to the prom. Section V: Theme and Moral A. I learned life can be crazy at some points. B. To show how things can go wrong at a blink of an eye. C. How things just came to an end with his girlfriend and the stripper at the end I really didn’t learn anything until the
At the end of the adventure, when all the scaring is complete, I take them up to all of the people that scare them and have them take a photo opportunity with them. My wife was able to face her fears and took her picture with the one that was following her around the whole trip and making her scream several times. My daughter is deathly fearful of clowns, so I tried to make her face her fears and instead of my son or I carrying her around the whole time I made her walk through the place in the forest infested with evil clowns. At the end of the trip she was ready to have her picture made with one of those evil clowns that she was so afraid of in the beginning. I think that I did my job well by making them see that there was really nothing to fear.
Two quotes from “A Sound of Thunder” that represent this theme are “Embedded in the mud, glistening green and gold and black, was a butterfly very beautiful and dead” (pg. 299) and “It fell to the floor, an exquisite thin, a small thing that could upset balances and knock down a line of small dominoes and then big dominoes and then gigantic dominoes, all down the years across time.”(pg. 299), these quotes represent the theme because they show that one little thing changed the future entirely. This theme represents science fiction because if time travel were real, scientific date can prove that things could be changed very
I was shocked at first and didn't understand what had happened. When I heard teachers around me let out horrified gasps and begin to cry, it began to sink in. I was too shocked to cry. As I stared at the fireball in the sky, I just stood there on the playground enveloped in my own thoughts. It blew up!
How Safe Are Amusement Park Rides? Is that huge roller coaster that you stood in line for an hour, that causes your heart to race and your hands to sweat safe? When I excitedly walk through the park, I can’t help but worry about one of the rides breaking down…with me on it. According to USA Today newspaper, “There have been some terrifying accounts recently, especially in Knott’s Dairy Farm in Anaheim, California, where the occupants of the ride were left hanging upside down for hours” (Baker, Section A-12, December 30, 2012). “From rollers coasters to bumper cars and ferris wheels, amusement park rides attract massive crowds, with an estimated annual attendance of nearly 300 million at the more than 420 fixed-site theme parks in the United States, according to 2008 data from the International Association of Amusement Parks and Attractions website” (U. S. Rides, Article On Line www.IAAPA.org).
