I first respect myself, others, and expect others to treat me with respect as well. Without commitment in life it’s hard to accomplish goals, live happy, etc. I commit myself to God, my family, and my goals in life. I also believe that to value Love is very important to my life.
Personal Values Paper Ethics Awareness Inventory This paper is written for the purpose of construing the results of the Williams Institute Ethics Awareness Inventory self-assessment. At the beginning, Ethics are a very important in my life activities (personally, professionally, and educationally). On my beliefs, I think every body has a moral right to experience the [“good life”]. However, ethics are playing a very important part at the people life. The results of my awareness Inventory originated my ethical perspective to be based on the result (R) or consequences of my actions.
My mentor is the tutor Paula and my manager is Sam Nolan. 1.3 Describe ways to ensure that personal attitudes or beliefs do not obstruct the quality of work. I feel being aware of how your beliefs and personal attitudes can obstruct your quality of work is a good first step, identifying and understanding your own views. By having an awareness of this you can notice when you may not come across as friendly with someone who has different views and by noticing you can adapt your behaviour. For example, I have a particularly strong anti-war ethic and some clients have been in the army and are very proud of that.
Duty is a work ethic, it meant that you had to work hard to fulfill the duties and the affairs of society will prosper as a whole. In order to maintain humanity you must be compassionate and have empathy towards others. They believed in Filial Piety, which was the belief that every family member had his or her place, meaning they had to have respect for each other. According to Confucians, the “Golden Rule” was “What you do not like when done unto you, do not do unto others!” In simpler terms it means: treat others the way you want to be treated. Confucians believed in Civil Service.
Ethical issues vary from legal issues because ethical issues are individualistic and legal issues are embodied in a system that governs society. The legal system gives continuous guidance regardless of the ethical issues involves (Guido, 2010). Personal values are individual thoughts about an idea, object, or a belief. Individuals communicate their needs through values, Rassin, (2008) states that, “social science considers values a key motivator for human behavior.” Personal values are derived from family teachings, religious beliefs, and societal. “Personal values are basic motivation beliefs about desirable modes or outcomes of individual behavior” (Rassin, 2008, p. 8).
In this way, the Tripitaka is very significant to adherents of Buddhism as it provides a clear set of expectations of the adherent of the religion as well as providing a guide to the teachings of Buddha. An example of this can be seen through a quote of the text (see appendix A), where it explains how Tanha is the cause of Dukkha. Many similar explanations are seen throughout the Tripitaka. The Tripitaka is also a very significant text as it represents the connection between the present monks and adherents of Buddhism to those of the past. This is significant to adherents of the religion as the text ensuring that the essence and facts of Buddhism do not alter over time, as they are clearly written within the Tripitaka.
This paper will also discuss what therapy is and does because when most people think of therapy, they think of counselors helping people with their problems no matter what. Even though therapy is a services provided to help the individual get to the root of the problem, people do not know if individual or group therapy is best for them. This paper will discuss that as well and explain the pros and cons of individual and group therapy. Personal Ethical Statement My personal ethical statement Referencing to the ethical inventory I fall under the rights and responsibility lens, It states that I use reasoning skills to determine my duties as well as the universal rules that each person should obtain and follow. My core values are autonomy and rationality over equality. I tend to lean towards protecting the rights of individuals and I am not swayed into believing that individuals should be able to do what they believe is to be right even if others claim that the results are not fair for everyone in the community. I tend to moderately prefer rationality over sensibility. I also find that I use reason to find the rules of life but my actions are tempered my sensibility, being flexible as I strongly follow my intuition and heart.
