My Values, their foundations & salience Name: Yu He (Coco) Student No.:190831 Abstract: This article analyzes my personal values what is focus on contribution and responsibility except normal social moral principles as compassion, honest, respect, tolerance, etc. My values help to define myself, it's very important to me. My values come from my family, my study in Chinese traditional culture as Confucianism, Sun Tzu's theories and Buddhism. I uses my values to direct the decision during my life, but still meets some situations conflict with my values. All the experience my values were enabled or disabled help me to analyze, deep and perfect my values. Introduction: As Dr Rob Macklin mentioned in the lecture of Management Ethics, “Moral values are principles and standards which are said to determine the extent to which a human action, conduct, end is right or wrong.” (Dr Rob Macklin, 1st lecture of Management Ethics). People’s value reflects what kind of person he or she wants to be and conducts the decision making. As a Buddhist, my values based on compassion, honest, respect, tolerance, etc. as most people with religious belief, focus on contribution and responsibility. My values run very important role in my life. My values and why they are important to me Except normal human social principles my value’s main parts are contribution and responsibility. For example, as a family member, I try to do my best to love and contribute to others; as a social member, I try to do my best to take care of others and do the biggest contribution I can to protect and improve the society.
