Tell them that you turned them in and will help them in their time of need. Show them where they are lacking and teach them to do better. Ultimately it’s on you and how you want to be seen. What do you think is right and how dedicated are you to your job? I know that I always want to advance my career but I don’t want to have smut on my past.
The purpose of feedback is to let me know what I am doing is correct or indeed incorrect as the case may be sometimes. It’s as useful to know you are doing things well and in the fashion expected as well as the areas that require amendment or improvement. 1.3 Describe ways of evaluating own work. I regularly ask the managing director and the college’s feedback regarding my work performance. Also although I find it hard to self-critique I try to note my own weaknesses and improve upon them, seeking training if necessary.
When people communicate effectively and express clearly what they need the other person to understand and allow others to do the same, what ever level you are communicating at, then a exchange of information takes place which becomes clear and understood, which help things get done or happen, Ineffective communication has an opposite effect and can cause barriers or segregation from your work colleagues and hinder promotional aspects. Effective communication will help build good relationships and trust with colleagues, parents , clients and professionals and will develop your role within the workplace. 2.2 There are different types of effective communication which would be used in various situations.. It will depend on who you are communicating with ,whether you are effective or not and communication needs to be age appropriate. Learning disabilities, children and adults understand at different levels so communicate in a way that is appropriate to them and a way they will understand.
In order to become a great leader, you need to be a follower first. Here are the three reasons why a leader should be a follower first: Better understanding of the plight of subordinates A leader who came from the ranks usually knows and understands the plight of his or her underlings. You won't only be able to empathize with your teammates, but you will also know the tricks under their sleeves. You will know when to show compassion and when to be strict. It is a known fact that employees or followers have tendencies to procrastinate, look for ways to make their jobs easier even if the quality isn't good, and try to steal company resources, such as time and supplies.
4.1 Explain how…. a) Recognising person centred values Person-centred values can reduce the likehood of an abuse because if they are taken into consideration when supporting an individual, all the staff will be working in the same way and will feel shamed if they abuse because of the way that they have been taught to work. If one of my client has the freedom to say what he or she wants and is at the centre of any decision, it will be less likely that there is abuse. The individual will know what suits him or her and will not get so frustrated. I always put the service users I work with, their families and friends at the centre of any decision about them.
Making it on your own At times people tend to work well while they are under pressure. To others they simply must be under pressure to get work done and give their full effort. In her article In Praise of the F Word, Mary Sherry argues “Flunking as a regular policy has just as much merit today as it did two generations ago. We must review the threat of flunking and see it as it really is- a positive teaching too.” By making it clear to students that flunking can definitely be a result of them not putting in the time and effort in assuring they pass their class will make them more determined to learn and earn their good grades, it will also help stop those students who choose not to even try in their classes. Also by making students fear failure it will not only motivate them
Trying to encourage them that they are to look at there situation in a positive manner, when they are hungry, homeless, and cold, would be doing them a great disservice. First try and help them with their basic needs, then they will be able to focus better on the other needs in their lives. Also as a HSW, I must develop a client and service worker relationship that is built on trust. I must inform the client that my main responsibility is to them and to help them find and to achieve their goal or goals in life. If my job is not important to me, and my desire to bring about a positive change in the life of some one, then trying to become a HSW is not a field that I must endeavor to
And the feeling after saving someone’s life due to our timely intervention cannot be described. It is also very important to get along with our co-workers as they are the backbone. You don't know how they may come in help on the
Foundations for General Education and Professional Success GEN/200 Instructor Kelly Allen Personal Responsibility By Migdaly Ortega Due May 2, 2013 Rough Draft Responsibility is important to me because it holds me accountable for my actions. Being responsible for your actions is a powerful way to demonstrate your maturity and sense of pride. I believe personal responsibility is a more reliable way for others to take you serious and feel that you are capable to handle certain situations and circumstances. I hold myself accountable because others depend on me, my family, the people I work with and the families I monitor. My decision to further my education is an important decision whereas it will allow me the skills to become the
The below are what I think the traits of an effective leader show – it also explains if I have these traits and how I would develop them: • Empathy: I would create a legitimate connection with my staff – this makes it less likely that personal issues and bitterness will come about, and destroy the team morale. I believe when your team knows that you are empathetic to their concerns, they will be more likely to work with you and share in your vision, rather than
