My Catholic Church Experience
I had the opportunity to attend a Catholic Church service with my family when I went to visit with them in New York. I am not a religious person and have not attended a church in some time, besides going to weddings. The catholic churches in New York are large outside and inside, the people enjoy being at church, and these churches are also very beautiful on the inside.
I went to New York to visit with my aunt and she is a very religious person, attending church at least once a week. She asked if I would like to attend church with her and I took it as an opportunity to experience something that I would not normally do and I went with her. She was delighted as she has tried for years to get me to go to church with her when I visit.
We pulled up to this church and let me tell you churches in New York on the outside look like they were built over a hundred years ago, and some of them probably were. The amount of people that came to the service on this particular Sunday was tremendous. I figured when I walked in that about half of this enormous church would be filled, boy was I wrong. By the time service started there was only standing room in the back I had no idea this place would fill up like it did, I have never seen anything like it in my life. Service lasted for about an hour to an hour and a half. The people seemed almost...
