The Catholic Religion Many people are confused about different religions. The Catholic religion is confusing to some people. But if someone were to look into the religion, one would understand that it is not confusing, it is just not understood. To understand it, a person should visit the Catholic Church and see how a service is conducted. St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church among other Catholic churches has mass. Mass is daily and beginning as early as 6:30 a.m. On Saturday, mass starts a little later and there is also mass in different languages. Saturday mass has Vietnamese in the evening. Sunday mass has it in English, Latin and Spanish, as well as family mass. Upon visiting St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church, a person can find many activities to be involved in. This would include mass, choir, and other ministries. St. Francis Church has a school in a different location. This is a beautiful church and is in a convenient downtown location. The large church on the corner is white. The inside of the church is big and beautiful. The church is adorned with long pews and red seat coverings. If a person went inside the church and did not know where he or she was going that person would get lost. When speaking to Kathy Whitted, she stated “she was baptized as a baby and raised Catholic.” She also states, “When a person gets married, the marriage is for life. Divorce is not allowed, unless certain circumstances are causing problems in the marriage. Depending on the type of divorce, a couple is allowed to receive sacraments.” Catechism is something that is required of the Catholic religion. Students are taught about it in Sunday school and if they attend a private school, they are taught about it in school.
