In 1987, the Muslim government sent out an announcement to kill all male children in the South regardless of age. In order to survive the bloody war, thousands fled from Sudan to Ethiopia. When the Muslim government reached word of those who fled, the 86,000 men fled from Ethiopia to Kenya. The 12,000 men who were able to survive when they reached their destination were referred to as the “Lost Boys of Sudan”.
Americans were so tired of the war that the feelings were reflected in the election of Johnson vs Nixon. When the President put in affect the draft many of the young adults did not agree. The Continental System was Napoleons attempt to blockade Britain and stop all communication between them and other countries. In turn this would destroy Britain commercially and their industrial economy allowing Napoleon to take over Britain however did not work and left Napoleon worse off then he was before.

The working class also felt as if the wealthy politicians were forcing them go to war, but they were not the ones actually fighting in the war. This led to much distain towards the upperclass and had many of them questioning if the war was really worth it. With the working class not being able to side directly with the “hawks” or “doves” it left them without a voice.
The asylums gamble to get to our country and get a decent life, riding in rickety, dangerous boats, but then our country does the wrong thing and rejects them which seem very cruel. It's simply not right that people can pay large sums to people smugglers to jump the queue when there are tens of thousands of people who are simply too poor or too law abiding to come illegally and who have been waiting for years in dreadful conditions in refugee
People were so upset because they were afraid that sending troops to Iraq would take the focus off of Afghanistan and the mission to find Bin Laden. Seeing the way that people just turn against and decide that they want to kill innocent people just does not make since. Looking at this serious situation, many people see that the September 11th attacks badly because it was more of a modern day situation. Also it was in the United States, which we live in. The attack was a very tragic and hurting time in American history.
Being of a certain race is not a weakness, it is a blessing. Everyone is unique in his or her own way and no one should have to feel “ugly” because other people perceive them in a way that they have no control of. In conclusion my opinion is that the Indian Act should be abolished. If this Act were abolished, the First Nations people live off reserves, interact with others, and gain back the respect that they should have received a long time ago. Everyone deserves respect from others, and the First Nations people are no different.
